2 Moderator: Lisa Hannigan is the Director of the Poverty and Social Transfers Section in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Social protection is a core part of the section s work which includes providing support to country programs, building capacity in social protection, facilitating South-South events in areas where countries would most benefit in learning from each other s experiences and contributing to the literature in under researched areas like management information systems and informal social protection. Lisa has been working on social protection for many years, including in Indonesia from

3 Presenter: Alfrey P. Gulla is the Cluster Coordinator of Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). Alfrey is involved in planning, policy development and monitoring and evaluation of the SLP. Alfrey is also the focal person for the Livelihood Rehabilitation program for the affected communities by super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) that hit Philippines in Alfrey believes that the Sustainable Livelihood Program is an inclusive approach and able to improve resilience of the families through community participations. Alfrey started his career as a youth volunteer of the Philippine Red Cross in 1998 and became a humanitarian worker in Prior to his engagement with SLP, Alfrey was deployed in Kenya as a volunteer focusing on resource mobilization and institutional development.

4 Discussant: Nassreena Sampaco-Baddiri is Country Director for Innovations for Poverty Action, Philippines. She oversees IPA Philippines diverse portfolio of rigorous impact evaluations and works with partners to advocate evidence based policymaking. Nassreena has had extensive experience of working in government, policy research NGOs. She was previously a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines. She holds a Master s degree in Development Studies from the University of Manchester and Master s in International Studies from the University of Philippines where she is a Doctoral candidate. She has been named as one of DevEx Manila's 40 under 40 International Development Leaders.
