1 THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE Baba Gang Nath Marg, Munirka, New Delhi Walk-in-Interview The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) is a premier teaching and research institution in the country. It has kept pace with the new thinking and contributed to the knowledge in the area of health and family welfare. The main objective of the Institute is to serve as an apex technical institute and a think tank for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes in the country. The broad mandate of NIHFW includes Education and Training, conducting Research and Evaluation, managing Projects, undertaking Specialized Services and providing Consultancy Services. Institute has been entrusted by MOHFW, GOI as a Nodal Agency for conducting and Coordination of all the Training Activities in the country under the Capacity Building in Public Health Emergency & Hospital Preparedness for Health Emergencies. Hospitals play very important crucial role for management of mass casualties during any disaster. Preparedness of hospital during the pre-disaster period enhances the effectiveness during disaster situations. Quality of medical care at hospitals at various levels in the government and private sector will vary from place to place in the country. "Hospital Preparedness" includes planning at the management level of the hospital for up gradation of its infrastructure, skill and knowledge of the manpower, availability of logistics (drugs, consumables, instruments, power backup, water supply, communication system) to enable the hospital to function at its maximum efficiency level during any disaster situation. The present positions have been developed for the Capacity building of the District Health Officers and Medical Superintendents / Nodal Officers in Hospitals on Public Health Emergencies. Under the project a technical support and coordination cell will be established at NIHFW. This is the time bound project and following staff urgently required for the establishment of the cell. The project is approved for 2 years. Under the above project, NIHFW has vacancies for certain positions of contractual staff. 1. Name of the post: Sr. Consultant (Medical) No. of post: 1(One) Qualification: Essential: MD (Community Medicine / Preventive & Social Medicine / Experience: Consolidated Community Health Administration) 6 years post MD experience of Teaching / Training / Research Desirable- Experience of working in the field of Public Health emergencies Rs.1,20,000/- per month

Name of the post: Jr. Consultant (Medical) No. of post: 2(Two) Qualification: Essential: MBBS Desirable: MD (Community Medicine / Preventive & Social Medicine / Community Health Administration) or MPH Experience: 6 years post MBBS / 3 years post MD experience in Teaching / Training / Research Desirable- Experience of working in the field of Public Health emergencies Consolidated Rs. 80,000/- per month Age limit: Maximum 55 years 3. Name of the post: Office Assistant cum Accountant No. of post: 1(One) Qualification: Essential: B. Com, BBA (Finance / Accounts) knowledge of Tally Desirable: Knowledge of Accountancy and day to day official procedures and working knowledge of computer. Experience: Minimum 1 year post qualification experience in managing Accounts of Health / other public sector is desirable. Consolidated Rs. 40,000/- per month Age limit: Maximum 30 years 4. Name of the post: Data Entry Operator (DEO) No. of post: 2(Two) Qualification: Essential: Graduation with certificate course in computer Desirable: Possessing speed of 8000 keys depressions per hour for data entry and report writing work Experience: 1 year in handling data is desirable. Consolidated Rs. 25,000/- per month Age limit: Maximum 30 years

Name of the post: Multi Task Staff (MTS) No. of post: 1(One) Qualification: Essential: 10 th Pass Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Consolidated Rs. 18,000/- per month Age limit: Maximum 30 years Duration: Period of contract will be for 2 years. However, the performance shall be reviewed on quarterly basis and if not found satisfactory, contract will be terminated pre-maturely giving one-month notice. Place of Duty: NIHFW, New Delhi. Candidates have to make their own arrangement for appearing in interview and no TA / DA will be paid to them. 4. NIHFW reserves the right to either fill up the post, or not without assigning any reason. 5. The candidates reporting after registration time will not be entertained. 5 Job description of Senior Consultant Medical: Over all monitoring and evaluation of the trainings in different States. Comprehensive Training Plans, trainings report and preparing action point for performance improvement among partner institution. Taking sessions during the training at NIHFW and at partner institution. Undertake field visits to partner institution of India in respect of all training related tasks and issues. Assist in development of standard protocols in training, monitoring the quality assurance checklist for trainings, infrastructure and service delivery at the health facilities. Analyze best practices in Training and Trainings Database Management prevailing in the country and world. Submitting a technical report with suggested action points for performance improvements as and when directed by Nodal Officer. Supervision of the team and working under guidance of Nodal Officer. Undertake any other activity assigned by the Supervisor / Reporting Officer. Job description of Junior Consultant Medical: To assist the Nodal Officer, NIHFW and Director, NIHFW through Sr. Consultants in Management and other administrative functions of project staff of NIHFW; identification and evaluation of collaborating training institutions and liaison with the state and district training coordinators. To assist in organizing regional workshops, core group and expert committee meetings To assist in procurement of various items under the project. To liaise with the official of MoHFW. To provide technical inputs to the core group in the preparation of management component of training modules. To undertake state visits to appraise the collaborative training and other institutions regarding preparation of plans, monitoring and supervision of training activities and programme performance. Comprehensive Training Plans, trainings report and preparing action point for performance improvement in respect of allotted state/s. Taking sessions during the training at NIHFW and in the other allotted States. Undertake field visits to SIHFWs / CTIs and States / UTs of India in respect of all training related tasks and issues, other training institutions in States.

6 Submitted a technical report to the district, states and MoHFW GOI (through Nodal Officer) with suggested action points for performance improvements as and when directed by Nodal Officer. To carry out any other relevant work assigned by Sr. Consultant, Technical Support and Coordination Cell, NIHFW, Nodal Officer, NIHFW and / or Director, NIHFW. Job description of Office Assistant cum Accountant: He/she should be responsible for assisting to the Sr. Consultant as well as Jr. Consultant in the day to day activities of the project related to budgeting and financial management. Administration and logistic: Organize workshop and meetings; domestic travel accommodation, local transportation for office staff / visitors / government officials, manages routine administration, ensure record keeping of project documentation: keep track of office supplies. Procurement: Reports, records & vouchers etc from partner institutions. Finance: Manage petty cash and raise statement of expenditure on monthly basis, review travel claims and submit to finance, maintain employee's data for finance, process claims/vendor payment, scrutinize & verify bills and backup papers related to payment request, keep record of payment due and made from finance department, process invoices, assist in preparation of budgets of grants proposal and statement of expenditure of various trainings. Any other work assigned by superior authority. Job description of Data Entry Operator (DEO): Prepares source data for entry by compiling and organizing data; establishing priorities.
