22 Recommendations for logistics managers Blockchain has a large potential for the maritime & logistics industry However, a lot of preconditions need to be met in order to realize value. Focus on gathering information on the necessary conditions for cooperation in your tradeflow. Technology CAN do everything we want to do. All kinds of PoC s have already been built and tested. Do not build another PoC, but gather information on the actual usefulness of exisiting solutions (and why they are (not) working). Get/remain involved in the discussion about information system standards in maritime industry. This is both a political, business and a technical discussion. Be broad, be more comprehensive and re-invent 22
