In conjunction with these, Herrmann Ultraschall offers a choice of five service contracts with an extended scope of performance. This dynamic service concept allows the appropriate and efficient combination of service packages and aftersales agreements. 1. Fitness check In the framework of the fitness check, service technicians review the technical production stability of the machine or weld system, and prepare extensive documentation of the results. If required, precautionary measures are recommended to safeguard production quality. 2. Machine training Valuable technical knowledge is conveyed to the operating personnel through a professional and customized training concept. To ensure what is learned is retained, the Herrmann Ultraschall Service provides extensive training materials. The training is optimally designed for small groups and can be individually enhanced. 3. Process support Process specialists from Herrmann Ultraschall provide advice in the product s initial stages. They also fine-tune process parameters, together with the functionality of the machines and systems, to the specific customer applications. Customer service package 4. Process optimization For the application specialists at Herrmann Ultraschall, the focus is on the validation of welding technology, optimization of the production process, and control of the relevant process factors. The goal of technical consulting is to establish an efficient and optimized manufacturing process.

This optimization provides the customer with lasting benefits and can be flexibly combined with service packages. 8. Extended warranty period This Herrmann Ultraschall service includes an extended coverage period to prevent against unplanned process risks. During this period, Herrmann Ultraschall ensures to cover all operating expenditures on the ultrasonic equipment under the assumption that the equipment has been in proper use. 7. Spare parts package ULTRACAREplus Herrmann Ultraschall Service offers advice on a customized spare parts package for proactive safeguarding of the customer s production. The ULTRACAREplus package offers a range of attractive special conditions. 6. Preventive maintenance & calibration After comprehensive maintenance and updating of the weld process software, the machine or weld system will be calibrated. During the calibration process, the determined initial values are documented. The Herrmann Ultraschall calibration certificate proves the subsequent optimizing adjustment. This service also includes the free replacement of the UPS battery of the weld process controller. 5. Production support In the event of unplanned interruptions of operation or bottleneck situations, Herrmann Ultraschall Service provides support with job order production. This production support can be started at Herrmann Ultraschall within 24 hours, after all tools and unmachined parts have been received. In addition, rental machines are available at attractive conditions.

The following aftersales agreement models are tailored to the customer needs. They offer the best possible protection in case of breakdowns, in form of attractive customer service combinations. Herrmann Ultraschall offers detailed consulting regarding the scope of services and conditions. Service contract I. Corrective maintenance and repair agreement. The aftersales agreement includes a pre-defined reaction time for the handling of customer demands and permanent availability by offering 24-hour telephone support. Product-specific, all-inclusive charges for repairs allow a reliable calculation basis. Replacement of old devices at a reduced replacement price is also included. Only original spare parts in manufacturer quality are used for repairs. No fees are charged for loaned components. The rental charge for a machine or weld system is reduced by 20 %. The preventive maintenance includes performance of software updates and free replacement of the UPS battery of the weld process controller. This is followed by a deviation analysis and subsequent calibration. Contract customers receive documentary proof of the calibration in form of a certificate. This document certifies successful adjustment of the machine capability and the necessary corrective measure. Herrmann Ultraschall also offers a data backup service as an option. The comprehensive protection provided under our service contract V (36) goes far beyond legal requirements. Contract customers benefit from an extensive service package, which includes: 36-month technical care, supply of repair parts, annual servicing with subsequent calibration, and discounts in the event of unplanned operational breakdowns. In addition, contract customers receive all software updates free of charge during our regular maintenance visits throughout the service contract phase. After sales contract V (36) includes the whole range of services in service contract III.
