Tek-Moulds Precision Engineering Ltd. was set up in 2003 by a young and enterprising professional toolmaker and the Company has yielded positive results ever since. Also, the Company has grown in terms of workforce and what was originally a one man band, is now a team of no less than twelve (12) highly skilled tool-makers. Tek-Moulds Precision Engineering Ltd. currently occupies a 1026 square metre factory in Bulebel Industrial Estate in Zejtun (Malta). Name of Equipment: A Five-Axis High-Speed Milling Machine, Specialized for the Industrial toolmaking Industry. Description of Equipment: This Five-Axis High-Speed Milling Machine manufactures industrial tools moulds) made out of hard steel to be used in the plastic injection molding industry as well as other hard-steel products and components for other specialized applications. These specialized applications include titanium turbine propellers for the aerospace industry and dental machining in titanium, zirconium, zirconia and chrome cobalt. This machine will include both a hardware component and a software component. The hardware component, or the milling machine, is the unit that does the tool-shaping whereas the software component translates existing tool designs into tool paths and numerical control (NC) programmes in order to execute the cutting sequence. A more detailed description of the specifications can be found in Annex II. The price quoted, should be excluding VAT. VAT (if applicable) should be quoted separately. The bid shall remain valid for a period of 6 months from closing date of equest for Proposals. European egional Development Fund (EDF)

2 Presentation of Bids Bidders must satisfy the following conditions: a. The bidder shall, together with any other documentation submitted with his offer, submit the forms attached to this document as Annexes I and II. Annexes I and II, which form part of this equest for Proposals, should be filled in by the Supplier and attached as the first and second pages of the proposal/s submitted. b. All offers must be submitted in one original, clearly marked original, and one identical copy (including all documentation as in the original) signed in the same way as the original and clearly marked copy. c. Both the original and the copy are to be separately sealed and placed in another sealed envelope/package so that the bid can be identified as one submission. d. All bids must be submitted either by recorded delivery (courier) or hand-delivered by the Closing Date and deposited in the appropriate box with the name of EDF Grant Schemes Proposals at: Malta Enterprise Malta Industrial Parks Gwardamangia Hill Pieta MEC0001 Malta e.
