4 1 Introduction This specification is a description of the labels for marking goods and parcels for transportation by simultaneous use of EDI. To which countries you can send packets with EDI, we refer to the applicable specifications for EDI file formats. The label is designed according to the CEN EN 1573 Multi-industry Transport Label. For more information follow the link below: 2 Content The specification contains description regarding: Bring Frigo Norge 3 Dimensions The most useful standard dimension for the label is 101x192mm. This specification is based on this dimension. It is also possible to use other dimension, like a width of 148mm. But the minimum height is 192mm. 4 Material The label should have a material that it can resist the physical strain, and that the package's underlying structure does not affect the readability of barcodes. More about barcodes in next chapter 5 Quality. 5 Quality In addition to good quality to the barcode, it s important how the label is placed on the consignment. To maintain a good delivery quality, the barcode must be located so that the entire barcode is displayed, without wrinkles or folds. Do not place tape above the barcode. The print quality should be without wounds or blurred lines. To achieve good quality, the printers must be cleaned at least once a week. 6 Barcode 6.1 Description of GS The barcode should, depending on the content, be of symbology GS1-128 according to GS1 / UCC standard, Code 128 according to EN 799, X-module a minimum of 0,375 mm, height at least 22 mm. Readability should be tested and be satisfactory after CEN EN1635 standard, quality (overall) minimum ANSI B (according to ANSI X3.182:1990). For more detail information, see the documentation from GS1 Norge GS1 General Specification : The CEN license plate requires the use of standard identifiers to describe the use of the barcode. When GS1-128 code is, it should be an application identifier (00) ahead of the barcode for the License plate-number. This code also contains identifiers for packaging type, country, and shall also contain the customer number in GS1. Including the code identifiers, the License plate-number consists of 20 numeric characters

Bar codes Placed in the field: W - X 8.1 Marked frame The fields C to H are marked with a frame, about 1 mm thick. 9 Content of the data elements 9.1 Fonts Fonts must be Arial, Gill Sans or Gentle Sans, or other fonts which provide a simular visual face. If they are shown in bold they must be Arial Narrow semi-bold/gill Sans Bold/Gentle Sans bold or another clear sans serif font. The size must be point unless otherwise specified. for lead-in text.
