12 2000 Construction management system (CMS) used to track HIS data 2003 Creation of our current LRS / HIS system HIS program was custom coded in house (2005) LRS geometry was created in house based on CAD files and imagery

19 LRS to include loops, ramps, interchanges, service roads, more detailed geometry Moving toward routable network Use of multiple geometries Multiple linear referencing methods New linear referencing system will be used by all branches at MIT HIS data to become event data (retiring the HIS subsection methodology) HIS to allow for lane level inventory reporting Shoulder data will be an event layer

20 New system will be flexible and allow for integration of all of MIT s existing spatial datasets HIS data entry to be conducted by field staff (web based?) Head office staff transition from data entry role to data manager role

21 RFP currently ongoing Main goal is to expand MIT s road network Geometry and attribution to be expanded Create a more detailed and inclusive road network

22 Two week GPS data collection of the majority of PTH s, PR s and Access roads in Northern Manitoba Mapping grade GPS used to collect updated road alignments Used to update geometry based on low res. satellite imagery Improve spatial accuracy of linear network
