3 Document costs are as much as 15% of your annual revenue. We found 25,000 of annual costs hiding in envelopes. Imagine the opportunities. Most business owners, executives, and managers can cite operational costs to the penny. But they are shocked to discover that document costs can add up to a double digit percentage of revenue. As part of a thorough document assessment for this bank, we looked at all of the different envelopes it used in the course of a year different sizes, different window placements, different logos. We taped the envelope variations all 600 of them up on a wall for the client to see. The problem was obvious. The solution was like new-found money. They re disguised as pallets of marketing and sales materials, business forms, product and service literature. The plan was to print plenty of them on offset presses to get the cost-per-piece down. But now they sit in a warehouse in varying stages of information decay and unplanned obsolescence. One Xerox customer calculates that they will save 14 million over the next three years using Xerox on-demand printing to change their document production model from print and store to print on-demand.
