2 Increased competition in the retail sector Increased competition in the retail sector combined with the growth in online retailing means it is now more important than ever for retailers to achieve the right layout and presentation in store. It is vital to create the best possible shopping experience for your customer and to support and encourage product sales. Many customers now use stores as showrooms where they will look at products before buying online, product availability, store layout and presentation are vital in helping to increase footfall and sales. Whether you require large scale merchandising labour supply or one-off merchandising visits, we have the resource and flexibility nationwide to meet each client s individual needs in all areas of merchandising. 3 New store opening, store development and refits Whether your project requires a short-term closure, day or overnight merchandising support, we have the resources and infrastructure to provide skilled and trained merchandisers, helping to reduce downtime and loss of sales revenue while maximising your return on investment. The OCS merchandising team understand how vital it is to correctly position merchandise to support supplier relationships and provide the best customer experience. Our teams of merchandisers already have the specialist knowledge needed to support new store openings and, working in partnership with your new store staff, are able to complete the fit out quickly and efficiently and to the high standard required to allow your new store to begin trading as soon as possible. OCS merchandisers are experienced in working to planograms. Our team will adjust equipment or shelving in store to accommodate new ranges and seasonal promotions, optimise available space and ensure compliance with planograms. Our flexible merchandising teams can undertake: Merchandising of all internal and external planogram layouts Profiling shelves and positioning equipment as per planogram Stock uplift/discontinued stock management Pricing and labelling Point of sale implementation Seasonal display, promotional and signage installation Store closure support I wanted to drop you a quick note regarding our recent refresh scheme, first of all a personal thank you for your help in getting the scheme pushed through in such a short timescale. 4 Range reviews, seasonal promotions OCS provide experienced, well trained merchandising teams who are skilled in the implementation of range changes, seasonal promotions and offers. 5 Stock management and store closure support OCS Retail Support has a proven track record of stock support for retail change management. We can offer a comprehensive solution for de-stocking, re-stocking, stock data management, goods receiving or reverse logistics. Using the latest RF technology and hand held data capture devices, our teams will locate and scan stock that is no longer ranged in a particular store and prepare it to be sent either through the distribution centres to other stores or back to the supplier. Our stock support teams are experienced in most of the electronic ordering systems and are supported by an IT department able to write bespoke software solutions to meet the individual needs of our clients. 6 Seasonal labour Finding experienced and motivated staff to provide temporary short term cover for peak periods can prove difficult for many retailers, but OCS can help. We have a large labour force which is flexible and multi-skilled, enabling them to undertake a variety of roles within the retail environment with which they are already familiar.
