4 Home Gas Saver Terms & Conditions - 1 year fixed term contract 1. These terms apply to the Home Gas Saver tariff ( Tariff ). 2. The Tariff is only available to existing Airtricity domestic electricity customers in the Republic of Ireland. 3. These terms are in addition to: a. General Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity and/or Gas by Airtricity Limited to domestic premises in the Republic of Ireland ( Airtricity General Terms & Conditions ) which can be found on our website at and b. Airtricity s Customer Agreement Form ( CAF ). Collectively these terms, the Airtricity General Terms & Conditions and the CAF are referred to as the ( Agreement ). 4. In the event of any conflict between these terms, the Airtricity General Terms & Conditions and the CAF, these terms will apply. 5. Your discounts ( Tariff Discounts ), as set out in the table below, are against the Airtricity Standard tariff rate ( Airtricity Standard ). Airtricity Standard rate may be amended from time to time during the Term, but this will not affect your Tariff Discounts. 6. Your Tariff Discounts will be applied from the date that Airtricity is registered as your gas supplier and will continue for a period of one (1) calendar year from that date ( Term ). 7. You may leave the Tariff during the period of 10 days following your sign-up for this Tariff ( Cooling-Off Period ) by contacting us at and no termination charge will apply. However, if you leave the Tariff after the Cooling-Off Period or the Agreement is ended by you at any time before the end of the Term, a termination charge of 25 will be applied to your account. 8. If you cancel your direct debit, a 300 deposit will be applied to your account. 9. After the expiration of the Term or if you leave the Tariff during the Term, your account will be switched to the Airtricity Standard rate applicable at the time. 10. Airtricity reserves the right to amend the unit rates or charges that apply to the Tariff during the Term if there is a cost to Airtricity imposed by a governmental or statutory body (including a change in VAT) or as otherwise provided for in the Airtricity General Terms & Conditions. 11. The Tariff Discounts may not be used in conjunction with any other Airtricity gas offer, discount or tariff. 12. Airtricity reserves the right to withdraw the Tariff without notice at any time prior to the start of the Term. 5 What happens when I switch? Sign up Sign up with your Airtricity representative. Confirmation Receive confirmation of what you have signed up for and a copy of your Terms & Conditions, together with your Customer Agreement Form by /letter. We do the work for you We ll contact your previous suppliers and inform them you are switching. Changed your mind? If you change your mind, you have 10 days from the date you signed up with your Airtricity representative to let us know, by calling You ve switched We ll contact you to let you know when you have switched. Previous supplier final bill Your previous suppliers will send you your final bill. My Airtricity Activate your My Airtricity account at First Airtricity bill You ll receive your first Airtricity bill. After that your bill will be issued every two months or monthly if on budget plan. If you choose Airtricity Budget Plan, we will calculate your monthly payment amount based on previous energy use at your meter. After that we will review your account regularly. They will also ask you to confirm that you agree to the Terms & Conditions on the handheld terminal. If this has not been done, please contact our Sales Team at ROI/HGS1/JULY13/LEAVEBEHIND/V1 The Commission for Energy Regulation requires all suppliers to give you a copy of this checklist before you sign up. Please read each question. Did the representative tell you: q who they are working for and show you an identity card? q about the products on offer and explain the charges to you? q how any discounts will be applied? q the key terms and conditions of supply? q how long the contract applies for? q how you will be billed? By post, ? q how to make payments and about budgeting options? By direct debit, over the counter? q if you need to pay a deposit? q if there are any penalty charges and how these would apply? q how to cancel your contract if you change your mind? q how your existing account will be closed and your new account will be opened? 8 Airtricity Budget Plan spreads your annual energy cost across 12 monthly Direct Debit payments and helps you know how much you need to pay each month. We calculate your monthly amount based on previous use at your meter and we include an initial tolerance to take into account any changes in your consumption. How does Airtricity Budget Plan work? 1. Your Airtricity Budget Plan Welcome will outline your monthly payment amount. You should receive this within 2 weeks of sign up. 2. Your first monthly payment will be automatically deducted by Direct Debit 14 days after your first bill is issued. 3. Every 4 months, we ll review your plan to ensure that it is working for you. We ll notify you if your payment amount needs to change. 4. You can change your mind at any time. If you are not happy with your monthly payment amount, you can cancel your Airtricity Budget Plan - simply call or welcometeam@airtricity.com 5. Airtricity Budget Plan is only available to customers on ebill and Direct Debit.
