4 1-Mold making system Condensation (Tin) Cure silicone rubber CONDENSATION CURE SILICONE also called Tin-based silicone rubber, which are two-part (Part A & Part B), room temperature curing system. It is used primarily in the mold-making industry with POURING or BRUSHING onto models to make the molds. They are available in a variety of harnesses. Molds made from these rubbers offer high tear strength, good release properties, and resistance to high temperatures. Inno Silica offers Pourable and Brush-able types for mold making. 7 Addition (Platinum) cure Silicone Rubber ADDITION CURE SILICONE also called Platinum-based silicone mold rubbers that consist of two parts (Part A & Part B). After mixing, they cure at room temperature to flexible, high-strength rubbers. Addition cure silicones are preferred to condensation cure silicone because they are food grade, none shrinkage and more resistant to higher temperature, aging, worse environment conditions. 12 Polyurethane Mold Rubbers Polyurethane rubber is also one of regular materials for mold making. Inno Silica s Polyurethane liquid mold rubbers range from soft to mid-range hardness. They are two parts that cure at room temperature. Polyurethane mold rubbers offer high performance, superior flexible and durable to make molds for relatively simple to the most highly detailed, undercut and complex models. 16 4-Coating silicone system (IS-COT) IS-COT coating silicone is a solventless, two-part liquid silicone rubber available in white. This product exhibits excellent water and chemical resistance, low and high temperature stability from -60 to 200 C (-76 to392 F) and rapid cure at elevated temperatures. It is easily pigmentable using a variety of master batches. 17 5-Electronic Encapsulation silicone (IS-PC) INNO SILICA IS-PC Series are Tin-Cured (Condensation) type Silicone Rubbers that vulcanizes in room temperature. When cures, it releases ethanol molecules, has no corrosion to PC (Poly-carbonate), PP, ABS, PVC, copper wire, and etc. IS-PC Series available with different hardness from 0 Shore A to 50 Shore A. TIN-THI is used especially the low viscosity silicone use for vertical surface application (making brush-on molds.) Higher viscosities can be attained by varying the proportion of TIN-THI. TIN-The is added as a percentage of Part A and must be thoroughly mixed with Parts A and B. Tin Cure silicone rubber Thinner: TIN-Thinner Tin Cure silicone rubber Thinner is colorless, tasteless, odorless and non-toxic silicone fluid. It is mainly used to lower the mixed Viscosity of Tin cure silicone rubber. TIN-Thinner will be used as per following applications: To lower mixed viscosity to faster de-air when vacuum; To better penetrate over intricate model detail; To both reduce the viscosity of mixer (A+B) and hardness of cured silicone rubber Simple Instruction of TIN-Thinner Mix with 3%, Viscosity reduces around 2,500 cps Mix with 6%, Viscosity reduces around 5,000 cps Mix with 10%, Viscosity reduces around 6,500 cps Important Note: 1. The tear and tensile strength of cure silicone will also be affected by specific proportion of thinner. 2. Hardness affected by thinner is estimated to be: 1% thinner, 0.6 Shore A reduced; 10% thinner, 6 Shore A reduced. 3. Pot life (working time) is increased in proportion to the amount of Silicone Thinner used.

19 Silicone Accelerator: IS-PLA IS-PLA Accelerator is for platinum cure silicone rubber, to speed up room temperature cure of all addition -cure (platinum cure) mold making silicone rubbers. It can also be used as a surface treatment to prevent inhibition. PLA Accelerator carries silicone polymer and platinum catalyst. The accelerator is added by weight to Part A and should be thoroughly mixed into Part A before adding Part B. This allows for much faster de-mold from the original model. Important Note: Adding the accelerator drastically reduces the pot life of the liquid rubber product. Silicone Pigment (IS-Pigment) Inno Silica offers silicone pigment can be both colored tin-cure and platinum-cure silicone rubber. These pigments can be used to create a variety of color for a wide range of applications including special effects, prosthetics and orthopedics, making masks, toys, prototypes and many others. IS-Pigments are very concentrated and a very small amount of pigment will color a proportionally large amount of silicone. The more you add, the more dramatic the color effect. Recommended loading range is 0.001% to 3% of total system weight. Do not overload silicone rubber with pigment or cure inhibition may occur. Note: 1.A small trial is advised in your first time using pigment to silicone rubber. 2.IS-Pigment compliance with International Standard Pantone Colors.
