Our community services and programs are designed to change the course of young lives and the future of communities. We have two exciting opportunities available at our Goonellabah site running the ryse up Links 2 Learning program for year 9 girls who are at risk of disengaging from school. We are seeking a strengths based coordinator experienced in facilitating change with young people who can develop and implement this program. You will be passionate about and have experience in supporting young women to build confidence, self esteem, gender connection, hope for the future and to reconnect them with learning (additional criteria in position description). We will provide you with a supportive team environment, salary packaging, a 30 hour/ week fixed-term contract until 22/12/17 with renewal dependent on funding. Key accountabilities - Development and delivery of the ryse up program, in line with successful funding application and funding body requirements, that builds self-esteem, confidence and gender reconnection and re-engages Year 9 girls back into school. - Recruitment, management and utilising of community partners, staff and volunteers to attaining strong engagement and connection with students. - Linking with community partners to ensure the development of informed knowledgeable students who understand service pathways and connections. - Building of strong supportive relationships with stakeholders and with the Advisory Group. - Management of project and budget to ensure it meets project outcomes, evaluation and reporting requirements, financial projections and timeframes. - Other duties from time to time as directed. Relevant tertiary qualifications or at least 3 years experience in education, social work, social sciences or similar.

Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and implementing programs within budget and meeting contractual requirements. 4. Demonstrated understanding of, and training in, relevant child protection legislation. 5. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. 6. Sound computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. 7. Current First Aid and CPR certificate or a willingness to obtain. 8. Light Rigid Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain. Assist with set up and closing of program days including, transport and purchasing resources and catering. Monitor risks in and around the sessions for the safety of the participants, stakeholders and volunteers. Coordinate volunteers and stakeholders during session times. At least one year s experience in youth work, community service work, vocational training or similar. 2. Demonstrated understanding of, and/or training in, relevant child protection legislation. 5. Sound computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. 6. Ability to work independently with strong organisation skills.
