Primary Purpose Responsibilities As part of the Information Management Engage Program the Team the Lead Business Insights will; Work closely with business stakeholders, data and transform team members to ensure the advanced analytics service delivers desired business and strategic outcomes, whilst progressively maturing and enhancing enterprise data analytics and data science. Provide strategic advice and insights that contribute to the delivery of Council s strategic outcomes. Work closely with stakeholders, data stewards, project/product managers and other IM teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organizational decisions. Apply proven communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure that advanced analytics deliverables are met according to business needs. The Lead Business Insights is responsible for; As part of an agile delivery team, liaising with strategic stakeholders to identify key drivers behind business analytic needs for the Corporation and its alignment with strategic outcomes. Identifying and developing research goals that align to the strategic goals and outcomes of Council. Consulting and engaging with end users and subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, validate and endorse the requirements of their unit to ensure successful delivery of end user advanced analytics. Presentation of findings to the business by exposing their assumptions and validation work in a way that can be easily understood by the business. Contributing to the conceptualisation, development and implementation of models to support and promote the effective use of advanced analytics across the business and provide advanced training as required. Leading discovery processes with business stakeholders to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome. Modelling and framing business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions. Managing and leading a team to deliver consistent service outcomes and continuous improvements, including planning and allocating staff resources, developing, coaching and mentoring employees and managing performance. Working with diverse and senior stakeholders, provide consulting and specialist advice, shaping and delivering strategic initiatives through business case creation, requirements gathering, solution assessment and selection, benefits management, implementation and process change management. Influencing senior stakeholders through skilful negotiation, with a willingness to present and defend recommendations that drive the direction of strategic initiatives. Working closely with Data Architects and the Transformation team to understand the impact of new or changed information requirements and their interpretation into the enterprise information architecture. Developing scenarios for analytic hypothesis definition and liaise with the Transform and Support team to operationalise recurring analyses. Qualifications People Management A tertiary qualification in Information Management or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
