About the Company Joseph Longaro, P.E., and Alex Clarke, P.E., joined forces and formed Longaro & Clarke in 1994. They worked hard to develop the fledging company into the well-respected civil engineering firm it is today. Even now Joe and Alex are involved and active in every project. They work directly with all members of the Longaro & Clarke team to ensure that all Longaro & Clarke projects get the attention they deserve. Longaro & Clarke s well-rounded, experienced team provides the capabilities of a large firm with the attention and reliability of a smaller firm. Longaro & Clarke engineering designs are constructible, cost-effective, and uphold the integrity and goals of the project. Longaro & Clarke recognizes that a project s success depends on the construction costs, so it practices value engineering for every project, while ensuring practical and safe designs for both the client and the public. Company Values Longaro & Clarke strives for customer satisfaction and makes every effort to learn and understand its clients expectations so it can share in those same goals and values. Knowing that responsiveness and thoroughness are key to its clients success and satisfaction, Longaro & Clarke meets project schedules and reacts promptly to inquiries and communications from clients, review agencies, contractors, consultants, and other parties involved in a project. Longaro & Clarke is proud to serve the Central Texas region and looks forward to many years of continued service. Over the years, Longaro & Clarke has developed strong relationships with permitting entities and has acquired extensive knowledge and experience navigating the City of Austin s permitting process, one of the most difficult municipalities for permitting land development projects. Our strength lies in our ability to assess our clients needs and provide them with an accurate road map to navigate the City of Austin s permitting process. This road map indicates all required steps and shows all obstacles, variances, waivers, etc., that may come up during the permitting process. Our goal is to make sure our clients do not get surprised, delayed, or incur additional expense during the permitting process so they can accurately assess their development risk. Joe Longaro, P.E., President Services Longaro & Clarke Longaro & Clarke provides a variety of services to real estate developers, industries, municipalities, and other public and private agencies. About the Principals Joseph Longaro, P.E. # 678786 President With more than 25 years experience in land development, Joe has worked with numerous environmental groups, boards, commissions, and neighborhood associations in Central Texas since 1986. Alex Clarke, P.E. #586740 Vice-President Alex has more than 20 years experience in land development and municipal engineering in the City of Austin and surrounding areas. I highly recommend Longaro & Clarke. In addition to quality work, I have found their fees competitive and fair, and their bid lacking the additional gotcha change orders. More importantly, I have found that the stamped drawings have been complete and straightforward with consideration paid towards the ultimate build-out costs. Hunter Glass, Real Estate Developer Client Testimonials I have worked with Joe Longaro over the past eight years on a variety of local projects, including the Whole Foods Market Corporate Headquarters and Landmark Store which we successfully opened five years ago Throughout that development, Joe Longaro, as Engineer of Record, provided not only Civil Engineering expertise coupled with innovative problem solving, but also, a skilled familiarity with navigating and negotiating through the maze of city approvals. R. W. Duggan, Director of Design and Development, Schlosser Development I highly recommend Longaro & Clarke for complex civil engineering and entitlement projects, particularly projects that require coordination with the City of Austin. Downtown Austin presents unique challenges given its history and age. Over the 27 years I have been involved in real estate development and construction in Austin, I have been involved in several downtown projects, and they have been by far the most cost-effective and creative problem solvers I have worked with.
