2.0 STATEMENT OF INTENT is committed to playing a leadership role in protecting the environment. As for the creation of Butane (all isomers), this substance is unavoidably created by the various processes at the facility, predominantly the combustion of natural gas used to melt the glass. Butane (all isomers) is a by-product of the furnace process, where this substance is created and released to air. And as such, it is not likely to be able to reduce the releases of Butane (all isomers) from the facility. 3.0 SUBSTANCES REQUIRING PLANS The substance requiring a plan is Butane (all isomers), based on 2013 Toxics Reduction Act accounting information. Butane (all isomers) is created as a by-product of natural gas combustion. 4.0 OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN & ANY TARGETS prides itself on technological innovation in order to produce high quality products in an environmentally responsible manner. Several potential options have been considered as we strive to reduce the release of toxics in our operations, and this plan will determine the technical and economic feasibility of each option to determine which, if any, are viable for implementation at this time. As part of the continuous improvement practices at the facility, technical advances will be monitored for new opportunities to reduce the creation of Butane (all isomers) at the facility. 5.0 OPTIONS TO BE IMPLEMENTED (OR STATEMENT THAT NONE ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED) No feasible reduction options have been identified. O-I will continue to monitor new opportunities as part of their continuous improvement program and will evaluate them in future plan reviews. 2016 Pinchin Ltd. Page 2 of 4
