The Capability Development Lead will work in collaboration and partnership with other members of Ko Awatea and key stakeholders to identify drivers for change that will enable the development of workforce capability, to have the right staff, who have the skills, competencies and behaviours to improve quality of care, patient safety and patient and staff experiences. 3

Key Accountabilities Ensuring that programmes of activity related to capability building are coordinated and collaborative making the best use of resources within Development & Delivery, Building Capability, Ko Awatea and across CM Health Provide a planning framework that allows capability building programmes of learning to integrate into other Ko Awatea / Counties Manukau programme activities Closely link to the current Ko Awatea learning principles and goals Make sure that Ko Awatea learning is cognisant of the requirements and key success factors of its workforce Highlight the key capability, adoption and learning requirements that will need to support the change. Work with the organisation to develop the most appropriate approach to design, development and delivery of learning to support capability development within the transition timeframes. Develop a strategy which is both robust enough to deliver the needs of a complex programme across a wide target audience, but also flexible enough to cope with major changes in programme design. 4
