Date: May 16, 2013 Job Title : Library Assistant Department : Awhina Knowledge and Research Location : Library Reporting To : Library Manager Direct Reports : None Functional Relationships with : Internal Finance Potentially all departments as we provide a service across the organisation External Photocopier suppliers External clients Other NZ Health libraries Purpose : To provide a timely and effective service to Waitemata District Health Board staff KEY TASKS EXPECTED OUTCOMES Opening and closing the library Library is available for use during core business hours Issues and returns Library stock loans recorded effectively Shelving Accurate and efficient Photocopying and scanning Items produced as required Bulletins } Current awareness service delivered regularly } Compiling Table of Contents } Maintaining lists of recipients Processing Serials and books as required Interloans Receives and marks off and sends items which WDHB library has requested from other sources Supplies items requested by other libraries electronic or print Photocopiers/photocopying Liaison with suppliers to keep photocopiers functioning Overdue processes Requests return of overdue books and journals regularly. Implements accounts process if items not returned.
