KEY STATISTICS At Nissan Sunderland, we are responsible for production of the Qashqai, Juke, Leaf and Infiniti Q30 and QX30 models. We produce some 500,000 vehicles a year and export to over 100 international markets. All of this is made possible by our workforce of around 7,000 people, with support from additional contractors and suppliers. DID YOU KNOW? We have been one of the UK leading car exporters for over 16 consecutive years and made UK automotive history when we became the fastest car manufacturer to reach the two million mark with one model, the Qashqai...TO THE BIGGEST CAR PRODUCTION PLANT IN THE UK THE COMPANY A recent 250 million investment saw the introduction of the Infiniti Q30 to the plant. Produced under Nissan s luxury brand, the Q30 is the first model the plant has produced and exported to the US and China. 2,000 CARS ROLL OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE EVERY DAY OVER 3.7 BILLION OF PLANT INVESTMENT TO DATE We are Nissan Motor Manufacturing Ltd and we are the biggest car production plant in the UK. Our incredible location in the North East of England gives us access not only to some of the best workforces in the UK but also direct, international transport links through the Port of Tyne. This enviable combination means we can ship 9,000 cars a week from our world-leading manufacturing facility.

OUR DEFINING MOMENTS THE COMPANY 1984 Nissan and the UK Government sign agreement to build a car plant in Sunderland. 1986 First Nissan Bluebird rolls off the line. 1990 Construction of the plastics moulding and engine assembly completed. Bluebird production ends and Primera production begins. 2007 Primera production ends. 2006 Goodbye Almera. Hello Qashqai and Note. 2000 Hello to Almera and Micra C+C Convertible. 1992 Micra production launches at the plant. 2010 Juke production started. Micra production ends after 2.4 million units. Announcement that the 100% electric Nissan Leaf will be made in Sunderland. 2013 Next generation Qashqai production begins. 2016 We Celebrate our 30th anniversary of Manufacturing in Sunderland. 2015 Sunderland wins the new Juke. Infiniti Q30 makes its global production debut.

We procure and install them to achieve maximum output and support all areas of the manufacturing operation, ensuring seamless production of over 500,000 cars every year. is a key function offering a full spectrum of hands-on roles; we combine practical engineering with project coordination and cross-functional teamwork. Truly embedded into the production process, engineers enjoy a mixture of desk based work such as CAD & specification writing alongside real-world activities such as line trails and equipment buy offs. We continually question methods, seek areas to improve and identify creative alternatives. Finance We offer a level of involvement and responsibility that is rare to find. Being given real responsibility from day one; you will work alongside team members to gain a broad understanding of the business. You will work with multi-million pound budgets and have opportunities for involvement in a range of tasks including; budget reviews; ledger supervision; forecasting; financial analysis and consolidation; project support and costing for new models. We expect excellent communication skills as we deal with colleagues across many functions, locations and seniority levels. We are a fast-moving, projectfocused department, where short lead times and a continual call for our services mean that the pace of change is tremendous. Working with end users throughout the business is key to what we do so communication is fundamental. By that we mean talking with people in a variety of functions and locations, understanding what they need and providing appropriate solutions. The majority of our systems are created in-house and we program in 4GL and newer technologies. THE DEPARTMENTS Operations Management Production Control (Operations Management) manage the manufacturing process; allowing for the production of over 500,000 vehicles yearly, in addition to other automotive products. We link the operations of Supply Chain Management with the production process, ensuring customer demand is at the forefront of our operations. Operations Management work closely with global suppliers to develop Business and Capacity Management plans; ensuring we produce quality products for all our customers. You will work on innovative new models with technologies such as Autonomous-Drive and next-generation electric vehicles. A successful Operations Manager will be a confident communicator, with strong organisational skills and eager to take on real responsibility from day one. Purchasing We place quality first and source suppliers who can achieve the performance standards that we require, working with them to reduce costs without compromising standards. You will experience a variety of different activities before being allocated your own area of responsibility. This will vary but one thing is certain, your responsibility will develop quickly. The pace is fast to say the least. You will have several projects ongoing at any one time, involvement in data and cost analyses for future activities, supplier visits and continual liaison with internal departments. You will need to display professionalism, credibility and long-term vision. DEPARTMENTS

We need engineers who have a passion for quality and can operate as both a customer; explaining requirements, and supplier; delivering solutions across the business. A high profile function that enjoys involvement in every area of the business. Whether you are on the shop floor, visiting suppliers or out assessing post-sale quality, you will need a good level of technical engineering ability. Supply Chain Management & Logistics An integral part of our company; we are responsible for getting the right parts and vehicles, in the right place, at the right time and the right cost: INBOUND liaise daily with renowned logistics providers to design and engineer innovative and cost-effective global logistics solutions. We then warehouse parts once they reach Nissan; planning and collaboration with plant material handling ensures the smooth inflow of parts to the factory. PROJECT & COST REPORTING manage new model projects and developmental cost reporting for UK, Spain & Russia. This is completed against the backdrop of a competitive manufacturing environment, which demands the right cars are allocated to the right plants with the right level of profitability. OUTBOUND are responsible for the delivery of vehicles from all production sources to final dealer locations across international overseas markets. We oversee more than 50 logistics providers to ensure we deliver to all customers. DEPARTMENTS
