This involves developing sustainable services and delivering on budget, revenue and activity targets. This role is responsible for partnering the Medical, Nursing and Allied Health HOD s on the delivery of contemporary, multidisciplinary models of care. Monitor and measure key performance indicators to identify variances put in place mitigations and report to the CEO. Work in partnership to ensure legal and contractual compliance within the portfolio by leading and developing support structures to identify risks. Work in partnership to monitor contracts/volumes/case mix to ensure optimum delivery and compliance. All government health targets are achieved each and every quarter, including ESPI compliance, smoking & ED health targets Ensure all patients are seen within required waiting times Service capacity is regularly reviewed to ensure demand meets supply Health service and facility plans are regularly updated and meet the needs for future service development Strive to ensure the highest possible clinical care is delivered to each and every patient Medical Services Strategic and Annual Plan including Inpatient Capacity Development Renal Services Ophthalmology Services Financial Ensure current and future resource needs are identified, prioritized and planned for by developing and regularly monitoring Medical Services Divisions strategic and business plan, which supports and enhances the overall mission and is aligned with the strategic plan of the organisation. Contribute to the development and delivery of the strategic plans of internal customers within Waitemata DHB. Manage physical and financial resources within budgeted limits and in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensures achievement of objectives by regularly monitoring progress and taking corrective action where necessary. Ensure the yearly annual budget is achieved with no deficits. Human Resources Provide leadership to a team of motivated and well trained staff by agreeing accountabilities and standards of performance, providing coaching, development opportunities, ensuring appropriate recognition, reward and taking corrective action where necessary.
