Key purposes of post To develop and deliver a range of support activities to support the Third Sector to thrive, develop and sustain its work in a changing environment. Main duties or responsibilities 1. To develop and deliver a range of support activities that supports the Third Sector to understand, thrive and engage in a changing environment. 2. To work in partnership with the CCG to engage Third Sector organisations in dialogue and delivery of agreed local provider frameworks. 3. To develop programmes of support to equip the Third Sector in understanding commissioning, procurement and contracting, in particular, but not exclusively within the NHS. 4. To develop the ability and capacity of Third Sector organisations to deliver health services across the market of health in particular but not exclusively as part of the Calderdale Care Closer to Home strategy. 5. To provide a wide range of development support to ensure that Third Sector organisations deliver good quality services and demonstrate a working commitment to continuous improvement. 6. To ensure in conjunction with the Delivery and Development Lead, that training and event programmes reflect points 1-5 above.
7. To embed the principles and practices of social enterprise in the delivery of development support 8. To promote models of partnership working and collaboration within and cross sector throughout all levels of delivery 9. To co-ordinate and disseminate key national, regional and local messages throughout the sector. 10. To network and represent Voluntary Action Calderdale s work locally, regionally and nationally with other relevant initiatives to maximize the benefit to Calderdale. 11. To contribute to income generation activities to further develop the work of Voluntary Action Calderdale ADMINISTRATION 1. Complete relevant administrative tasks including record keeping, database management and monitoring of activities 2. Provide relevant monitoring and management information as requested by line manager in line with monitoring requirements. 3. Contribute to VAC s information and advice services through dealing with enquiries via the telephone, email and drop-ins 4. Contribute to the VAC newsletter/mailings/e-bulletins/website GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Regularly read relevant journals and undertake such personal training as may be required to keep up to date and fulfil the professional requirements identified for this job description. 2. Attend regular supervision sessions and staff meetings. 3. To comply with all organisational policies and procedures. 4.
