Welcome to Plant Biology Europe 2018 in Copenhagen Denmark The Local Organizing Committee is very pleased to invite your organization to become a sponsor and exhibitor at the Plant Biology Europe 2018 conference in Copenhagen, June 18-21. The conference will be the 3rd biennial conference of its kind, jointly organized by the European plant organizations EPSO (European Plant Science Organization) and FESPB (The Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology). Around 1000 European plant science researchers and students, within a broader context of global plant biology, are expected to participate in the 2018 conference. The event is an extraordinary opportunity for relevant companies and organizations to gain exposure to all levels of the European Plant Biology Community. In previous years, main scientific themes have included plant breeding, plant proteins, phytohormones, ecosystems, epigenetics, bioactive green compounds and plant cell walls, just to mention a few. In addition to presentations showcasing the most recent developments in the field of plant biology, the 2018 scientific programme will also address cross disciplinary themes with current global relevance. The main themes will be addressed through plenary and key-note talks, as well as parallel sessions focusing on more specific topics. Poster sessions will have a high priority throughout the conference and the exhibitor area will be located in connection with both the poster and lunch break areas. Plant Biology Europe 2018 will be a highly dynamic scientific conference, showcasing the latest developments within plant biology research and technology, while enabling participants to enjoy their visit in the wonderful setting that Copenhagen offers. SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES The selected sponsorship opportunities for the conference provide conference supporters with a number of ways to enhance their visibility and association with the event. The items presented below have been selected to allow each sponsor unique ways of associating brands or messages with different aspects of the conference. OTHER SPONSOR ITEMS Delegate Items The following items bring visibility to the sponsor and a unique opportunity to reach each and every delegate. Smartphone App DKK 50,000 The App is free to download at itunes, App Store or Google Play by all delegates and is available for tables/smart phones that are compatible with ios or Android. The App provides a complete overview of the Congress, including maps of the Venue, key information, floor plans, and possibly exhibitor and sponsor links. In addition, the delegates can browse the Congress Program, and search by day, speakers, topics or type of sessions. Once the App is downloaded, delegates can use it without the need to access the internet. The Congress offers free WiFi in the Exhibition Hall. Abstracts on USB stick DKK 20,000 + USB stick production and distribution costs This item will be distributed to each delegate and will contain the abstracts of all accepted scientific presentations in searchable format. Benefits: Production and distribution Sponsor logo on the cover and on the USB stick itself Item packed into the Delegate Bags Inclusion in the List of Sponsors Enhanced Sponsor Opportunities Opportunity to produce a USB stick coupon which would be placed in all Delegate Bags, redeemable at a service desk in the registration area and at the Sponsor s exhibition booth. Desk, exhibition booth and staff are to be provided by the sponsor Pocket Program DKK 20,000 The Pocket Program is an indispensable quick and easy reference guide for all Congress delegates. Provided to each delegate at registration, the Pocket Program contains colour coded room and time indications of the Congress. It includes overall program, together with a map of the Congress Centre. It also includes information about services offered at the Venue. The sponsor will be given the outside back page of the Pocket Program for advertisement. Badge Cords/Lanyards DKK 15,000 + production and delivery costs. The badge cord attached to the name badge is a highly visible item worn by every delegate. The sponsor will have its name and logo on the cord. The colour of the cord and logo placement will be proposed by the Congress organisers, with approval from the sponsor. To increase retention values, the lanyard could be made detachable from the badge holder, which means it could be used separately in the future. Benefits: Inserts in Congress Bags DKK 5 000 Sponsors will be able to add information and inserts to the conference bag that will be distributed to each delegate. Note that inserts must be approved by the Organising Committee. The insert is either paper or USB stick. Only a limited number of bag inserts will be made available, and this item is granted on a first come, first served basis. 5
Advertising in Program: 1/2 page DKK 9.000 1/1 page DKK 15.000 Social Events Social events include meals and breaks that form a core part for the networking opportunities. Each event attracts a large number of delegates, and sponsors can use these unique opportunities to network with delegates. Congress dinner DKK 30 000 Included: catering, and all logistics. Additional marketing material to be provided. All participants and accompanying persons will be invited to the Congress Dinner, which is a joint event that will take place on June 20. The sponsors will be linked to the event in all printed and web based publicity, have logos inside and outside the venue, and will be included in the List of Sponsors. Sponsors can further enhance their participation with branded napkins, etc. Lunch Per day DKK 15 000 Included: catering, and all logistics. Lunches will be served in the restaurants at the conference centre. Sponsors will be acknowledged with logos in the restaurant area. The company name will also be included in the programme book and on the web site. Sponsors can further enhance their participation with branded napkins, sugar sticks, etc. Coffee Break Per break DKK 10 000 Complimentary coffee/tea will be served daily to all delegates during official coffee breaks. The serving points will be located mainly in the exhibition area and can be coordinated around the sponsor s booth. Sponsors will also be acknowledged at each service station.
