Contractor shall uniformly blend and place grading materials in lifts not exceeding 12 inches loose thickness and shall maintain the optimum moisture content during compaction operations. B. As specified, Contractor shall take care to maintain proper moisture content during compaction operations. B. All grading materials shall be compacted in accordance with the Specified Density Requirements. The Grading Grade in the Specified Density Requirements table is defined as below the bottom of building Sand layer or below the bottom of the Class 5 in paved areas.
