People credited with this unit standard are, under supervision, able to: establish the symptoms and causes of wellhead faults; prepare for the removal and dismantling of wellhead items and components; contribute to the removal of items and components at a petrochemical wellhead; replace wellhead components and component parts; assemble wellhead components and component parts; and adjust and test wellhead component parts in restored equipment. Outcome 5 Assemble wellhead components and component parts under supervision. at least three components and/or component parts. 5.1 The work requirements of the assigned company engineer are complied with during assembly. 5.2 Parts used for assembly are accurately identified, cleaned, and verified as being fit for purpose in accordance with site requirements and manufacturer s recommendations. 5.3 Tools selected for assembly are used safely in accordance with site requirements. 5.4 Parts are assembled to manufacturer s specification and site requirements whilst minimising downtime and disruption to production schedules and meeting maintenance planning requirements.
