Utility Note Franklin Interstate 270 Section 21.67; PID 81747 Franklin Interstate 270 Section 22.85; PID 81748 March 23, 2015 Bidders are advised that the following utility facilities will not be cleared from the construction area at the time of award of the contract. These utility facilities shall remain in place or be relocated within the construction limits of the project as set out below. All station locations listed below are approximate unless otherwise stated. Franklin Interstate 270 Section 21.67; PID 81747 & Franklin Interstate 270 Section 22.85; PID 81748 AEP Transmission The ODOT contractor will need to contact AEP Transmission 3 weeks prior to working at station 871 + 50 RT. Tower 4D-9 is to be removed at this location (sheet 675) and the transmission line will need to be deenergized prior to the removal of this tower. The contact shall be sent via email to askurtz@aep.com and a call made to Alex at 614-552-1332 in addition to the email correspondence. The ODOT contractor will need to leave 1 foot of concrete exposed after grading at the base of the AEP transmission pole that is located at station/offset from Ramp EBCD-B alignment is 868 + 23.16, 36.36 Lt. On page 258 of the plan sheet at station 868 + 75 the duct bank is within 15 of the footing. The closet point of excavation is 2 based on the as-built plans provided by AT&T. Gary Van Almsick has committed to completing a SUE elevation on this duct bank to confirm the location of the duct bank as it relates to this project. Once the SUE elevation is complete the results will be provided to the ODOT contractor and field coordination will need to occur with AT&T for resolution. Depending on the results it could be a shift, relocation, or protection of the existing duct bank. The ODOT contractor will need to contact AT&T a minimum of 3 weeks prior to working in this area to begin coordination/resolution of this conflict if found to exist. City Of Columbus Water There is an existing 30 water main on 315 south of 270 at station 130 + 98 that will remain in place. The ODOT contractor is expected to offset the guardrail posts on NB SR 315 to ensure no damage occurs to the existing waterline. The waterline is shown on sheet 219 in plan- view, on sheet 230 in profile view, and on sheet 395 in cross-sections.
