elearning Instructional Designer Position reference Position type Remuneration 10080 Full time fixed term until 31 December 2018 working up to 38 hours per week. $70,000 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation and salary packaging Service Area/division/state Effective date Learning & Development Clinical Practice and Quality Division/VIC January 2018 As the elearning instructional designer, you will analyse, design and develop effective learning material using a blended learning approach. Key deliverables: Create/update elearning content e.g. online courses, bite-size videos, webinars Design remote learning options Develop workbook templates This position sits with the Learning and Development Team within the Clinical Practice & Quality Division. This division aims to develop a capable, confident and collaborative workforce by integrating lived experience, practice wisdom and latest research into quality services that help people gain better mental health and improve the quality of their lives. The Learning and Development Team is responsible for supporting Mind s workforce through coordinating a comprehensive learning calendar, developing and delivering practice skills training and managing learning projects.
Learning & Development Research, develop and design blended learning programs in line with contemporary best practice as briefed by the Manager of Quality and Learning, to respond to organisational and employee needs. Contribute to the development and implementation of the L&D workplan to meet the learning needs of the workforce across the organisation. This includes planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on various learning projects within agreed deadlines Support L&D with elearning solutions Support L&D with blended learning solutions Support L&D with video conferencing technology for remote learning options Experience with using multi-media for bite-sized video production Key projects are to support remote/elearning/blended learning options for: - Orientation - Strengths base assessment and individual recovery plan - Client Wellness and Safety Planning - Incident Report Writing - Trauma Informed Practice - And other courses as required A demonstrated experience in elearning course development using Moodle and other elearning software A demonstrated experience in developing remote learning strategies using video conferencing technology Multi-media and responsive graphic experience e.g. Bite-size video production Sound communication, collaboration and project coordination skills The ability to support and meet project deadlines Team Work Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff within the Clinical Practice and Quality division, all Mind staff and external stakeholders Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of the team, in accordance with the values of Mind Actively participate in team meetings Work Health and Safety Accountability Professional Development Other duties Contribute actively to the maintenance of a safe workplace Ensure all safety issues are reported and addressed as they arise Use all Mind resources in line with organisational policies. Reports directly to the Manager of Quality and Learning Core Requirements Certificate IV Training and Assessment or equivalent in adult education. Experience in elearning instructional design, multi-media skills, video production, remote learning. Experience in social services or health industry is an advantage Current valid Driver s License. Current National Police Record Check. Current Working With Children Check (Employee). This position is full time fixed term working up to 38 hours per week until 31 December 2018. Working days will generally be between the hours of between the hours of 8am to 6pm as required. Please note that the work pattern may be subject to change to meet the needs of the service. You are able to salary package a tax free amount, which is currently up to $15,900 per FBT year, plus other items including meal and entertainment and accommodation. The amount available for salary packaging will be subject to Commonwealth legislation as it applies from time to time and on the basis that Mind will not incur any liabilities for FBT. Mind offers salary packaging through an outsourced provider (currently RACV Salary Solutions). Other conditions are as per Mind s industrial agreement. Employer superannuation contribution will be paid according to the legislative requirement. Appointment is subject to a six month probationary period of employment.
