We are a nationally focused high performance centre, Olympic and Paralympic training facility based at Sydney Olympic Park, reaching all regions of NSW. In partnership with the national high performance sport system and national and state sporting bodies we enable, impact and support targeted athletes, coaches and performance support staff to prepare for international competition. Performance is at the centre of all that we do and our people are our greatest performance advantage. NSWIS is committed to providing leadership development opportunities at every level of the organisation, eligible staff may be considered for Projects and/or Higher Duties where available and agreed. ROLE PURPOSE The NSWIS Head Coach is responsible for developing NSWIS scholarship, as well as targeted talent athletes and targeted national/emerging athletes with the goal of optimising the performances of these athletes nationally and internationally at benchmark events. Strategic Focus In consultation with the NSWIS Sport Lead the NSWIS Head Coach will: Lead the NSWIS Netball Program contributing to an effective and collaborative NA/NNSW/NSWIS partnership, and implement the NSWIS Netball High Performance Plan that targets integration and alignment across the various high performance programs from club, state, Franchise and National. Leadership Focus In consultation with NSWIS Sport Leader and Sport Partners through NNSW, lead and coordinate: NSWIS Netball Program, encompassing areas of athlete performance and progression within the multiple environments athletes train and play in Identify and support individual program management solutions for senior national squad athletes whilst in NSW Provision of integrated athlete and coach development from emerging talent to senior international level producing athletes for U17, U19, and ANL Squads. Provide mentoring and technical expertise to emerging NSW coaches through exposure to high intensity training, performance expectation and culture. Planning and implementing camp based tournament coaching as required for NNSW/NSWIS or NA initiatives Page 1 of 8

In consultation with NSWIS Management, NSO/SSO and Sport Partners, the role will primarily focus on: 1. Supporting a quality strategic sport plan that aligns to NA/NNSW and NSWIS vision, values, success profile and agreed performance outcomes including considerations in the key Sport Driver areas: Athletes and athlete pathway Coaching Leadership & Culture Athlete Allowance Daily Training Environment Competition Research & Innovation 2. Delivery of high performance talent program for agreed and identified NSWIS talent athletes, more specifically: Athlete performance planning, monitoring, review and evaluation to achieve agreed, shared and live Individual Athlete Performance Plan [IPP] outcomes in collaboration with Club and state based coaches Periodised planning and service planning that is informed by individual athlete plans, competition pathways and available resources/expertise Achieving agreed athlete performance targets/outcomes and development targets with identified NSWIS talent athletes Providing direct coaching services to an identified group of athletes, emphasising high performance skills acquisition, while supporting athlete personal excellence (career and education pursuits and wellbeing). Athlete identification and selection, in partnership with NA/NNSW, NSWIS and Sport Partners to achieve the performance outcomes of the sport and program 3. Being a role model for surrounding coaches through exposure to a culture of excellence, an appropriate intensity of training, and expectations linked to achievement of performance targets and outcomes. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Operational Progression and Performance Coach Developmen t Training Environment Competition s Coach Professional Excellence Planning [PEP] Description In consultation with NA/NNSW, attract, develop and retain talented athletes to ensure that athletes with the right skills and motivations are included in the NSWIS Netball program. Coordinate the identification and nomination of athletes for NSWIS scholarship in accordance with NSWIS and NA/NNSW athlete selection criteria and processes. Develop, deliver and support effective IPPs for identified NSWIS athletes in consultation with NSWIS, NA/NNSW and Sport Partners. Regularly and consistently monitor, review and communicate NSWIS scholarship athlete progression against IPPs across 4 key areas: Competition Performance Technical Excellence Physical Excellence Wellbeing Monitor and review NSWIS scholarship athlete performance with the NSWIS Performance Team on a regular basis, identify gaps, then develop strategies to achieve IPP outcomes. Report on athlete performance and progress to the Performance Planning and Management Group (PPMG) (6 monthly) and present an Athlete Performance Dashboard. Commit to continuous learning and building capability in experience, knowledge, competencies and personal effectiveness in line with the role success profile (attached) as a part of the NSWIS Coach Excellence program. Provide technical advice, skill acquisition and leadership support to identified coaches (as agreed with Sport Partners). Promote a high performance culture and commitment to continuous learning within the NSWIS Netball program. Work collaboratively with NSW State and Club coaches to ensure an integrated approach to athlete planning centred around the IPP, to support both short term competition outcomes and long term athlete development in line with NNSW and NA athlete and competing strategy In conjunction with the NSWIS performance team and allocated NSWIS Sport Leader, develop a service plan identifying program priorities and requirements with measures of effectiveness that relate to IPP targets and agreed sport performance outcomes. Effectively plan and coordinate through NSWIS, the delivery of quality services and resources for NSWIS athletes (as planned and agreed) to achieve compulsory requirements (annual medical, physiotherapy and personal excellence screenings) and integrated performance outcomes in areas of: Physical Performance - Strength and Conditioning - Physiology - Nutrition - Physiotherapy - Medical Technical Performance - Biomechanics - Performance Analysis - Skill Acquisition Wellbeing - Performance Psychology - Personal Excellence - Medical Fulfil the role of NSWIS Head Coach as agreed whilst attending planned competitions with NSWIS athletes. Fulfil the role of NSW Head Coach for identified camps/tournaments as agreed with Sport Partners. In consultation with allocated Sport Leader, develop an effective plan for cover when attending agreed NSWIS/National/State activities. Develop an Individual Coach Performance Plan to align performance for success (6 monthly) in collaboration with NSWIS Sport Leader and Sport Partners. Meet monthly (or quarterly) with Sport Partners to discuss performance, monitor progress and identify capability development opportunities. Proactively engage in the PEP process with all coaches within the NSWIS Netball program. Page 4 of 8

Commit to delivering on the agreed professional development plan and mobilising the required resources. Proactive participation in the NSWIS/Sport talent reviews and succession planning process. Operations and Reporting Attend meetings with the allocated Sport Leader, relevant coaches and performance team to review and report on program activities. In conjunction with the NSWIS allocated Sport Leader, liaise and report to Sport Partners through a PPMG arrangement (using agreed software platform). Manage NSWIS Netball program issues professionally in conjunction with the NSWIS allocated Sport Leader and program partners, as required. Professional management of facilities and resources, and effective financial and administrative coordination. Attend and where appropriate leads formal meetings. Ensure professional liaison and reporting (using AMS/other). HP Board reporting update required components with quality input. General Represent the NSWIS as required Work collaboratively with other sections/units of NSWIS towards organisational and sport outcomes Adhere to all the NSW Institute of Sport policies and procedures, particularly the Code of Conduct Reflect the NSWIS values in everyday work environment Comply with WHS legislation, company WHS policies, objectives and procedures.
