1 Fantastic 4-H Field Day 2018 Committee self-critique Please use this form to encourage your Field Day committee to selfcritique your role at Fantastic Field Day. This will ensure changes, modifications, new ideas and corrections are in place for next year. Pease return by February 16 th. Club KC Rural How many adult volunteers did you have? 4 How many should there be? 4, if we have the amount of posters we have had in the past. How many member volunteers did you have? None How many should there be? None is fine, then they can participate. Did your member volunteers come in top half whites? N/A Should they? How many copies of forms/score sheets did you provide? I did not provide anything this year, because in the year past, it was provided for us by county offices. This included the score cards and the poster tags. Did your club provide signs, gifts or pencils? Circle answer. Ut was provided from the council supplies tub. Pencils, staples, paperclips, clipboards, painters tape and the little poster tags are needed. Did your club have a planning meeting before event? Not that I was aware of, but we did not need to. It is easy to quickly review the morning of. Was your committee clear on the scorecard used? Yes Do you feel your volunteers gave clear instructions at the beginning of each session? Not related to this activity like the other sessions How much time did the judging take? Could you describe how you would modify your session? We should make signs that state the groups (Junior, Intermediate, and Seniors). They had them last year, I thought the county provided, but maybe it was our club. Either way, we need to
2 have those so participants know what they are looking at. Also a sign stating where to sign-in their posters. Would name tags on the members be useful? No What would amount of money would your club recommend be budgeted for your area? $20 What would you recommended adding that takes money? A small gift for participating that each person gets at registration, like a 4-h pencil. Would your club like to volunteer on this event next year? Yes Use this back page to review your club s thoughts on area they volunteered for that could be improved, changed, re-worked or modified. You could also comment on food and entertainment ideas. We need to do a better job of getting the word out about dessert and poster submissions. There were only 11 posters, which was NOT like previous years! Also, the judges need to have clip boards as part of the supplies, so we can write our score and comments.
