2 LEADING IN THE FIELD FOCUSING ON NEEDS AND CREATING VALUE Becker Underwood is the global leader in the research, development and production of yield-enhancing legume inoculants, biologicals and seed enhancements. Our commitment to innovative research, extensive product development and production of high-quality products create value for our customers. Focusing on our customers needs while inventing the future is at the heart of everything we do. With the world s population expected to double by 2050, the crop production industry is hungry for technologies that will allow growers to produce more food and fiber in more efficient ways. In addition, public concern for environmental issues continues to increase. Innovation is the key to meeting these challenges. By using the seed surface to deliver crop enhancement and protection products, Becker Underwood is providing innovative technologies that benefit growers by improving nodulation, nitrogen-fixation, root vigor, nutrient uptake and yield potential. New technologies such as our BioStacked technology will be key in helping growers utilize biologicalbased solutions to expand production in order to meet the world s growing needs. All Becker Underwood inoculants are produced fresh for each growing season
3 INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY THE BIOSTACKED ADVANTAGE Billions of microbial organisms inhabit the soils that are cultivated to produce crops. We know that some of these organisms can cause crop diseases; some have no effect on planted crops; others have some other purpose in the root s rhizosphere; and we know some play very beneficial roles. Becker Underwood has aggressively pursued an initiative to identify these beneficial organisms and evaluate their ability to improve plant performance. BioStacked technology provides a way to combine and deliver beneficial biologicals with multiple modes of action as a system to provide consistent and dependable performance improvements, nitrogen fixation, plant vigor and yield potential across a broad range of environmental conditions. Our BioStacked products deliver unique multi-component and all-inone solutions to growers and seed treaters through our distributors and retail representatives, and genetic suppliers. Inoculation Improves Yield Potential Yield potential begins in the root zone; what happens in the first several inches of the soil can make the difference in the final yield for legumes. Every year more yield trials show today s inoculant products are helping to increase the yield potential of every acre. For maximum yield potential, growers should not depend on sluggish indigenous rhizobia or use an inoculant product that was carried over from the previous year. Dry soils, waterlogged and flooded conditions or extremely high or low topsoil temperatures can significantly reduce the levels of rhizobia in the soil. The best way to ensure there are abundant levels of rhizobia present to maximize nodulation and nitrogen fixation is to use a fresh high-count inoculant containing a crop-specific strain of rhizobia. All Becker Underwood inoculants are made fresh each season, with crop-specific strains that are selected to deliver the most robust, highcount rhizobia available to help maximize yield potential.
4 SOYBEANS Discover Lost Yield Potential VAULT HP plus INTEGRAL with Triple BioStacked Technology! Three-way, multi-component growth-enhancing system. INTEGRAL biofungicide extends suppression of yield-robbing Fusarium and Rhizoctonia. More vigorous roots, enhanced nutrient uptake and nodule formation for maximized yield potential. Minimum guaranteed count of 10 billion CFUs of advanced rhizobia per ml by expiration. Ultra-low application rate of 2.0 fl oz/cwt of seed allows more treatment options. Industry-leading, days-on-seed rhizobia survival with popular fungicide and insecticide packages. VAULT NP Highly effective USDA-developed TA-11 Nod+ rhizobia strain. Concentrated liquid formula provides high rhizobia counts. Apply directly to seed or in-furrow. Convenient commercial application or on-farm use.
