3 What is organic farming? Organic farming is a form of agriculture that relies on techniques such as crop rotation, green manure, compost, and biological pest control. Depending on whose definition is used, organic farming uses fertilizers and pesticides (which include herbicides, insecticides and fungicides) if they are considered natural (such as bone meal from animals or pyrethrin from flowers), but it excludes or strictly limits the use of various methods (including synthetic petrochemical fertilizers and pesticides; plant growth regulators such as hormones; antibiotic use in livestock; genetically modified organisms; human sewage sludge; and nanomaterials.) for reasons including sustainability, openness, independence, health, and safety.

13 We prefer organic farm produce because Economic aspect - save money because of without using any chemicals and fertilizers - high income for the selling price Environment aspect - Water and soil will not be affected by the chemicals - Various biodiversity - Ecological balance - Environmental friendly - Reduces chemical residues in the food chain - Will not exuding toxic chemicals to kill surrounding insects - Maintain soil fertility

14 Social aspect - No harmful elements inside the crops - Will not cause unknown and uncertain implications to health - Avoid frequent contact with chemicals because workers suffering from related diseases. - Provide jobs opportunities for Hong Kong people
