1 FOREST OF ARDEN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY GROWING CROPS & LIVESTOCK COMPETITION 2016 JUDGING DATE: TUESDAY 12 th July 2016 CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: Friday 8 th July 2016 No entries accepted after that date. Judges kindly provided by Root, Fruit & Grain Society Gloucestershire 1. Judges decision to be final and binding. 2. Any Competitor committing an act intending to deceive Judges shall be disqualified. 3. Competitors to enter ONE CROP ONLY per Class. 4. Autumn Sown Corn - planted before 31st December Spring Corn - planted In every Class the whole of the piece to be judged. 6. Any competitor winning a class for three consecutive years should stand down for the next year. 7. All corn entries, THE VARIETIES MUST BE NAMED. 8. CORN PARTLY LAID WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE PENALISED. 9. All Beef Cattle to be judged. The Society reserves the right to amalgamate any Beef Classes, where there are insufficient entries. 10. In event of competitors tying for a prize, a cash equivalent will be shared where appropriate. 11. In the Dairy Class, there may be an hour and a half time limit per farm. (Depending on entries). ALL Classes open to MEMBERS of the society who farm within approximately 14 miles radius of Henley-in-Arden Church. NOTE: Any person, who is not a member and wishes to become so, is asked to complete the detachable form and forward same to the Secretary, with their subscription and entry fee.
