4 Agrowon Smart Village (ASV) Project Rationale! To bring a positive change in current Agrarian crisis, DCF initiated Agrowon Smart Village (ASV) project! The ASV project will provide! Tools! Know-how! Infrastructure needed to make the agricultural business vibrant and successful! To complement that, the project will encompass social activities also Project Characteristics! Enhanced farmer productivity driven by the Project support mechanisms based on provision of inputs, novel technology and methodology in dissemination of knowledge! High quality high value products! Competitive and profitable commercial processing and packaging plants! Direct and efficient market channels to avoid losses, wastage and farmer exploitation due to multiple middlemen! Established by group of experts from various management fields with experience in developing and executing agriculture and allied projects! Involved in conceptualising, planning and implementing Governmental and private projects in the Far East, Africa and Central America.! Gabi Nahum is the CEO and founder of Jethro and has more than 20 years of international experience. He was instrumental in successfully implementing the adapted structure of Israeli Moshav (agriculture village) in Africa and Central America and has received international recognition for his efforts.

12 Stage 2: 40 Villages surveyed by SILC ABM Students Survey! Baseline Gap survey questionnaire based on DFID methodology! Agri-Business Management students from the Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC) conducted surveys in selected villages

13 Stage 3: Final list of shortlisted villages The Delivering Smart Villages core team visited 20 select villages for Due Diligence activities. 12 villages were shortlisted to be surveyed collaboratively by the Delivering Smart Villages Team and Israeli partner

Biggest Gramsabha at Pargaon Women and 500 Men attended the meet. Over 150 villagers participate in an interactive Q/A session in Kalewadi, Gramsabha. A Gramsabha held in Asthagaon. More than 400 villagers present. A Gramsabha held in Nimgaon, Jali Village in Sangamner. More than 200 villagers present.
