10 2- movement of cattle, small ruminants and swine are controled: Ø Within the country : registration, identification, vaccination programs. Ø On borders: pre-import permit, sampling on arrival, registration. Ø Transhumance: with Syrian borders (Syrian control coordination).
11 3- Stakeholders categories are registered at ARD (for cattle, SR, Pork): 4- Incentives: free identification, vaccinations, detergents and disinfectant distribution. 5- Regulation pertaining animal production is described in the Animal Resources Directorate legislation as well as in the food law.
12 FMD Surveillance Plan Comprehensive plan with consideration to epidemiology on stakeholders includes: Structure of livestock production. FMD incidence (identification of hot spots area). Transmission Pathway.
13 Registration of farms and production firms. Identification of animals. Departmental control. Sampling and testing. Vaccination program.

To study the occurrence of infection with FMD virus in imported beef cattle during their stay in Lebanese feedlots. 2. To study for indication of FMD virus circulation in small ruminants and large ruminants in the last 12 months.
