4 Prehistoric digital farming... Many growers (and good advisors!!) used computers for BASIC record keeping e.g. Lotus 1-2-3, MS Excel, PAM, Phoenix, etc. Benchmarking came next... Then we had to learn Greenstar, Trimble, Backpaddock, Voyager, Agworld... Started utilising camera phones iphones, then ipads...copied by Google/MS (Android) Web based software Yield Prophet, icloud APPS!!!!! Weather tank mixing add-ons NOTHING INTEGRATED...
5 The next phase... Sensor technology UAV drones, moisture probes, EC probes, automated irrigation software... Interface generally is still clunky, but WHAT pictures! Problems arise though...e.g.casa legislation, etc Computer processor speeds double every 2 years...(moores 1971) as does HDD capacity! Now REQUIRE MORE THAN EVER an integrated platform that can: 1. House ALL my data 2. Interrogate and interpret that data 3. Give me $ in my pocket
6 The Problem IN SUMMARY... Information Technology has become a permanent part of agriculture but farmers are being swamped by DATA. To remain competitive, farmers must embrace this new data-centric world and control and apply this mass of data to their benefit.

15 If you select Soil Moisture you will be shown the traditional Soil Moisture Graph. For each depth where there is a sensor on the soil moisture probe, you will see the soil moisture %. This is the % soil moisture, not the actual volume of moisture. You need more information for this.
16 By using the Soil Profile data and the % soil moisture readings, Crop Manager Calculates the Available Soil Moisture. This is shown in the 3 graphs above. The top left graph shows the available soil moisture at each level in the soil profile; The top right graph shows the total available water in the full profile; the bottom graph shows the levels and a consolidated total.
17 This graph is now the PLANT AVAILABLE WATER graph. In order to calculate PAW, you need to know where the root depth is. The above graph shows where both The calculated root depth and the actual root depth s are on this specific date. In this example they are the same depth.
18 Current PAW Value These graphs show the PAW to date in green and then the Projected Available Moisture in Yellow. Crop Manager has worked out the current PAW, and has then used the Crop Manager Life Cycle to calculate the Future Date Based Calculation Phenology based calculation Projected Stress + Wilting Points.

21 App uses a Dashboard to show all data, including weather. App can be used to capture observations, inputs and events.
22 The App shows the Phenology information as well.
23 To change the actual dates of the phenology stages, all the user has to do is select the Paddock, in this case the Paddock is called 600 acres, select the Observation option, and then change the Phenology Stage data based on drop down options.. Select Submit and it is updated throughout the system. Crop Manager makes data collection easy!!
