What information are they using on a daily basis? How much time do they have to review the numbers? DATA COMFORT AND SKILLS BUSINESS AND DATA EXPERTISE How sophisticated are they with using data? Do they enjoy digging into the numbers? How familiar are they with the key performance metrics? Do they understand where the data comes from? Are they familiar with internal company or industry terminology? IMPLICATIONS Structure the information to make it super easy to answer high priority questions The form and information display needs to fit into an existing work flow. 26 INFORMATION LAYOUT Information must be organized in a way that reflects the nature of the information and that supports efficient and meaningful monitoring. Information cannot be placed just anywhere on the dashboard, nor can sections of the display be sized simply to fit the available space. Items that relate to one another should usually be positioned close to one another. Important items should often appear larger, thus more items. Having the right amount of data is crucial for mobile bi success(most times uses require only a few rows of data on the mobile) Don t just view the reports on the mobile as is, understand the user requirements and adapt it for mobile consumption Layout Choose right number of visual components required. Don t flood the layout with visual components Use webi formatting capabilities to make sure the right layout is done for mobile Chart Choose the right chart for the right purpose ( Table Limit the amount of data in the table (limit both rows & columns) Use conditional alerting & sorting to render the table for the business purpose 2011 SAP AG.
