1 CONSOLIDATED REPORT OF CO-FINANCING LIVELIHOOD PROJECT Towards An Alternative Livelihood To The Landless Poor Agricultural Women Laborer WOMEN S EMPOWERMENT TRUST
2 FOREWORD We are pleased to submit the consolidated report of the DIGNITY FOUNDATION supported co financing livelihood project for the duration. It s WE-Trust s strong hope that we have come out with both informative and interesting lines and will serve your understanding of the work undertaken by our organization with your great zeal of support. During the course of our project We hope we remained in positive transparent relationship with DIGNITY FOUNDATION & CWS. We remain greatful for all the support, guidance, appreciations, trust and hope you bestowed on us. As a creation we all would have come across many words which express the dimensions of love. This is not just a theoretical concept, but one which gives shape and form in the relationships and interactions in which we engage day by day as our response of being a human. In this context the generosity of the donors were really amazing to experience. The real concern you have towards mankind especially women, your extent of support and love to our beneficiaries for whom we exist has no descriptive words but is filled with pool of exciting emotions. It has also opened doors for us to intensively engage with the beneficiaries, understand their emotions, feel their pain and unite as a family. None of our achievements throughout the project would have been possible without our dedicated team of staff, friendly well-wishers and board members. WE would like to record our hearty wishes and gratefulness for their inspiring commitment and smart works carried out so far. As we reflect on the past journey, we also look to the future and hope for the positive opportunities ahead of us. We hope for your wishes and support always. Ever WE remain...with Gratitude!!! Managing Trustee & Financial Trustee WE TRUST We feel the prestigious pride of happiness to see that the seed sown a few years ago has now blossomed in to a tree with shedding shades and reaping fruits, enjoying the pleasantness of the winters and spring, battling the summer!!!but to conclude it stands strong where it is because of its strong deep routes. (DIGNITY FOUNDATION & CWS) 2

13 Kitchen Gardening Poultry Goat rearing SUSTAINABILITY Rural Indian women are extensively involved in agricultural activities but it s a known fact that the doors of agriculture has opened its way to the commercial sectors and the women folk suffer a lot, they are held up in the economic crisis in spite of their responsibility to shoulder the burden of the survival of their families. As many women mention - "If there is money in the house, the control is his. If there is no money in the house, the responsibility is mine. This project has intensively helped the women to identify and choose a multi factorial approach to lead their livelihood. In future its impact will reflect in skill development and empowerment of women as successful elements in the family and in the community at a large. The sustainability of the project will be ensured by the SEED FEDERATION that has been formed as the unit comprising of genuine active members of the group to follow the activities of revolving support system in the community and the same will be monitored by a staff from WE-Trust. 13
14 To conclude besides the activity report of the project it s our pleasure to share some of our memories during the course of project. We had a great experience during the orientation of the project in the year 2015 along with other coordinating agencies. Donors visit along with the concerned joint director for the project is an additional credit & encouragement for our effort towards creating a positive change in the community. Ever green memories always stay as a pleasant treasure &help the soul to blossom!!! Thanking you. 14
