2 Quality Assurance E&O Laboratories Ltd is a registered Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) supplier of prepared culture media and microbiology products. Clinical products are CE marked in accordance with Directive 98/97/EC of the European Parliament. Quality Management Systems are managed by the group Quality Assurance department and are structured to meet the requirements of both EN ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System Requirements and EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, as well as the relevant requirements of Good Manufacturers and Distributors (Orange Guide) Delivery E&O currently deliver ready to use media, supplements, blood products and serum throughout Europe and the Middle East. We offer our local customers a personal same day service in our own dedicated vans within the central belt of Scotland. We also deliver four days a week using our own transportation as far as the M62 corridor from Liverpool through to Leeds. All other UK locations are serviced on a standard next day service, using carefully selected commercial courier companies. Timed deliveries can be booked to suit emergency requirements as well as Saturday morning deliveries. Export consignments are air freighted or transported by road haulage depending on product type/sensitivity and destination country. Full product certification is supplied with each order. We are highly efficient at shipping our products worldwide, allowing us to keep our carriage costs to a minimum. All consignments are packed in secure, insulated well designed strong cardboard boxes either ambient temperature or cool packed to ensure products are not damaged during transportation and reach the customer in optimum condition. E&O s quality assurance department have validated (temperature data logged) information which demonstrates no degradation of product occurs during the transportation period. 2

3 Sales Order Processing, Customer Service & Technical Support Sample requests Existing customers and potential new accounts may request product samples for evaluation. All requests will be forwarded to the relevant area Sales Manager to ensure accurate evaluation feedback is recorded and customer requirements are fulfilled. Technical Product and Microbiology advice is always available during normal working hours. Production reserved batches can be organised and then called off to facilitate agreed delivery schedules. E&O cannot guarantee any delivery service during national and local holiday periods due to the restraints of the various commercial courier companies used. Export shipping delivery services will vary according to location and chosen method: air, road or sea. Customs clearance with documentation requirements will all be agreed in advance. Ambient, cool packed or dry ice will be assessed and agreed with the customer before any order is processed. Manufacture E&O s bespoke manufacturing facility incorporates 30,000 square feet of dedicated production facilities divided between bottled and plated media. A further 20,000 square foot of warehouse space is used for raw material and finished material storage with controlled temperature dispatch/logistics. Extensive product development and quality control laboratories are also located on site. Product formulations, where necessary, are designed to meet international standards and the Harmonised USP/EP/JP pharmacopoeia. Following controlled, pre-defined protocols of preparation instructions, products are sterilised/pasteurised and aliquoted using fully automated production lines for both the bottled media and poured plates. Our two clean-rooms suites are validated to ISO class 7 and GMP grade C with a highly sophisticated dehumidification system guaranteeing perfectly conditioned plated media. Our Pharmaceutical media range includes gamma irradiated products that can be supplied in single, double or triple wrapped cellophane film or vapour resistant barrier film for ambient storage. All sterile plated media is gamma irradiated within 48 hours of production. Full validation data is available. cgmp Quality Control E&O Laboratories Ltd sub-contracts all routine quality control testing of its manufactured product lines to its sister company E&O Diagnostics Ltd. The facility is located on site and is accredited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Representative batch samples are collected during the manufacturing process in accordance with statistical plans which are compliant with BS6001-1:1999 ISO These samples are delivered with sample submission documentation for quality control testing in accordance with: ISO/TS :2009 and ISO/TS :2003 Guidelines on the preparation and production of culture media.
