2 Background Commonly used small RNA isolation methods use phenol/chloroform steps. Such methods are typically slow, require special handling in fume hoods, dedicated toxic waste protocols, suffer from cross-contamination and/or phenol-carryover, and crucially can introduce significant bias in the recovery of selected small RNA such as microrna, leading to skewed results. The new generation of ISOLATE II RNA Kits have been developed to overcome these challenges, offering high quality small and large RNA isolation from a wide range of samples. The kits feature a novel separation matrix allowing superior recovery of RNA without phenol/chloroform. These results show that ISOLATE II RNA Kits are a superior alternative to existing reagents and kits on the market.

8 Conclusion ISOLATE II RNA Kits are designed for purifying RNA from a wide variety of samples, including difficult to process samples.
