Major products include the ApeosPort series of digital multifunction devices that link to mission-critical business systems, the DocuCentre series of multifunction devices that offer high performance and high quality, and the DocuWide series of wide-format digital multifunction devices for the engineering market. Fuji Xerox also offers a diverse array of software, including DocuWorks, which is a document-handling software for the integrated management of scanned paper documents and digital documents. By incorporating such software with multifunction devices, we offer a multitude of solutions and services for document management as well as mission-critical operations. 7 Diverse solutions to support changing work styles Optimizing output environment The TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), environmental impact and security risks can increase if businesses fail to install multifunction devices, printers and other office equipment in optimal locations when promoting the implementation of IT, giving rise to risks that can create problems for management as a whole. Fuji Xerox is supporting the optimization of output environments with multifunction devices and printers to resolve issues that arise in offices, including the growing number of devices and the increased use of paper as the volume of data grows rapidly in parallel with the advancement of IT implementation. After grasping and analyzing the overall environment at our customers offices, Fuji Xerox closely scrutinizes solutions from a variety of perspectives, including device placement and configuration, security as well as device management. By incorporating input from the customer, we are able to draft more practical proposals for improvements. Example of integrating office equipment into multifunction devices Before Office with randomly placed devices After Office with optimally placed devices Copy machines Multifunction devices Printers Office security through IC card authentication Fuji Xerox protects mission-critical enterprise information while maintaining a high level of convenience by making it possible for the IC cards that employees use to enter or exit the office and for PC login authentication to be also used for multifunction device authentication and output management. Multi-model on-demand printing temporarily stores print data on a server and retrieves the data for output after authentication, using the operation panel of a multifunction device or printer. In addition, shared printer drivers make it possible to output data in an environment that uses different multifunction devices and printers, without having to worrying about the differences among the devices. This prevents the compromise of sensitive information from unattended printed material and reduces unnecessary printing. 11 Helping customers create new businesses direct2one provides comprehensive support for one-to-one marketing A universal task for corporate management is to maximize customer satisfaction and return on investment, while increasing the efficiency of marketing processes and limiting investment. Fuji Xerox researches best practices and business models in Europe and North America, leverages optimal global partnerships and the latest digital technologies, and utilizes valuable marketing data such as the customers client data to provide direct2one, an outsourcing service of full-process support for one-to-one marketing through a diverse range of direct media. The direct2one service program comprises six processes: analysis of the current situation, strategy planning, concept planning, creative development, production/distribution, and evaluation/analysis. Through these processes, it is possible to accurately determine the fundamentals of marketing i.e., what to sell, to whom, and how and convey messages that answer the needs and preferences of customers. By analyzing customer responses, repeating the six processes and adopting a PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) cycle, it becomes possible to have a clearer understanding of customer needs in order to solve their marketing issues. direct2one service program Learning Evaluation/ analysis Data analysis Verification Reporting Production/ distribution Variable printing Media distribution Telemarketing Communication Understanding Analysis of the current situation Data analysis Identification of customer needs Identification of market needs Creative development Message development Variable design Story Strategy planning Segmentation Media plans Goal for results Concept planning Concepts Creative strategies Campaign strategies Interest Attention Premier Partner Program to support business growth The Premier Partner Program, which spans Europe, North America, Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, is a member-based program for digital printing companies that supports the global business operations of the member companies. To date, the program has achieved a variety of results and has been expanded to currently include more than 720 members globally. Facilitating OEM business for office printers In the North American and European markets, Fuji Xerox is expanding our business through OEM (original equipment manufacturing). Fuji Xerox views our OEM business of office printers not simply as a business to deliver finished products but as a service business to resolve problems that OEM customers face. Fuji Xerox joins OEM customers at the product planning stage to develop the products they request. Through collaboration, we provide those customers with a variety of functions, including fundamental technology development, production, quality assurance, marketing of the products (including consumables), and related supply chain management. In the North American market, in particular, customers demand printers with a high-level of usability and reliability, and they no longer view printers as special precision equipment. Manufacturers must thus design user-friendly products that do not break down. In addition, the market is culturally different from the Japanese one in terms of customers inquiries about installation and operation, as well as troubleshooting. Fuji Xerox continues to establish win-win relationships with our OEM customers on a global scale by responding specifically to the various challenges they face.
