As different countries have different accounting and business practices that an ERP system must comply with, this document will focus on our Chinese solution for companies doing business and using Microsoft Dynamics NAV in China. MICROSOFT SOLUTION FOR CHINA Using Microsoft Dynamics NAV for your business in China China has become a very important marketplace for many businesses around the world, with its positive projected economic growth and its low cost labor pool, many companies are looking for market entry opportunities and far more have set up direct operations in China. While these operations vary in scale, most of these businesses are part of the Middle Market Enterprises segment (MME). Unlike normal English or other European languages, where each character is represented by a single byte. Simplified Chinese for China There are two different versions of written Chinese language, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Traditional Chinese is used primarily in Taiwan and Hong Kong, where as Simplified Chinese is primarily used in China. The main difference between Traditional and Simplified is that the character in Simplified Chinese has been simplified to contain less strokes compared to Traditional Chinese. (SEE FIGURE 1 ). 4 CERTIFICATION SERVICE IN CHINA Certification are different between different provinces within China. If your company has multiple operations in separate provinces, eachoperation must be individually certified based on each province s. Some examples of different for each province : Beijing ERP certification not necessary Shanghai ERP certification necessary Basically, each province has different rules andregulations and can change periodically. We have already done this for many of our clients who use ERP systems in China.
