59 Student Communications Academic Standing Notices to Students Standing is a time-sensitive business! Used to create letters, but mail is time-consuming and slow to arrive, especially to international students. Letter text had to be manually updated each semester to reflect new dates, etc. For Fall 2014, we developed an burst to send the letters via , both in the body of the and as an attachment. We also included parameters the Registrar can enter to fill in variables in the letter.

64 Waitlists Each term, waitlists are frozen just before the first day of school. Faculty decide who, if anyone, can get off the waitlist at that point. Old procedure involved paper printouts of waitlist rosters and delivering them to departments for faculty review.
