6 Geof Knoerzer, Chief Informa on Officer, Afni Geof Knoerzer joined the Afni team on August 1, 2011 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Geof has an extensive and successful background in IT solutions management and consulting, with highly relevant experience across multiple industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and energy among others. Prior to Afni, Geof was Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Verizon Wireless, Midwest Area. His oversight included over 400 retail locations, seven call centers and 10 regional headquarters offices. Geof s experience also includes roles of increasing responsibility and IT oversight for companies such as Verizon Wireless, GTE Wireless, Ameritech Cellular and Convergys. As CIO, Geof has executive level strategic and delivery responsibility for all technology solutions, including application development, infrastructure and networking, the customer support center, third party applications and solutions delivery. Geof completed his education at Indiana University with a degree in Accounting and received his MBA from DePaul University. He is also an adjunct professor at DePaul University in Chicago, teaching MIS courses to students in the DePaul University MBA program. Geof supports the National Prevent Child Abuse America organization in updating the Information Technology for the organization. Chip Ward, Director, Global Informa on Systems, Milliken & Company Chip Ward is the Director of Global Information Services for Milliken & Company which is headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina. 7 Phil Hirschel, Director of IT Risk Management, PricewaterhouseCoopers Phil leads IT Risk Management for the US firm of PwC. He has over 20 years of IT experience including roles in security, network and telecom, operations, business management, support and project management. Phil's current responsibilities include leading PwC's third party risk management, client security, IT controls assurance, IT policy and IT risk assessment functions. Phil graduated from UVa with a degree in Finance. He holds numerous security and privacy credentials including the CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, ISO27K-LI and CCSK. Presenters Bill Miller, Chief Informa on Officer, Broadcom Bill Miller serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Harris Corporation, headquartered in Melbourne, Florida. He is responsible for application development and support, global computing and network operations, telecommunications services, enterprise security and IT architecture. Bill joined Harris in 1985 as a Senior Engineer with the company s former Semiconductor Business. Since then he has held engineering and management positions of increasing responsibility. He served as Director of Harris Corporate Information Technology Advisory Staff through Bill was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Information Management in 1998, and was selected to lead corporate-wide IT functions in Bill has a Bachelor s Degree in Engineering from Loyola College in Maryland, a Master s Degree in Materials Science from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
