The Lead Mechanical Engineer will act as a technical lead with mechanical designers in the US, and abroad to create new products hosting advanced electronics for civilian and military use. The Mechatronic Engineer will use GNSS, inertial navigation, atomic clocks, advanced microprocessors, FPGA and embedded software technologies to design and develop cutting edge and innovative solutions. Job Responsibilities: Apply the best and innovative material technologies to create military grade products which can resist to harsh environments typically found in UAVs or any other military vehicles Use the best and innovative tools in mechatronic design to guarantee the function of products, their robustness, cost effectiveness, and overall appearance. Design projects are derivatives from current Derivatives can range from relatively simple to near ground-up design. Work with Product Management and Sales to establish best solution that fits customer needs based on customer requirements Generate cost estimates for NRE and product BOM s of proposed technical solutions Create specifications for Touch monitors defining power, audio, LCD controller, other electronic circuit board parameters. Ability to review schematics and layout for board design quality and cost. Create prototypes based on product requirement System/Board Level hardware debugging of touch systems. Failure analysis, determining corrective actions and solutions for complex electrical systems. Write reports and present results, communicate, educate and inform engineers and management. This means developers need to be able to read, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL process around those goals. On occasion will work with SSRS (Sequel Server Reporting System) to generate reports based on business requirements. Requirements Bachelor s degree in computer science or the equivalent and 2+ years of experience building data infrastructure. Experience in T-SQL and SSRS a plus along with a basic understanding of EDI processes.
