Server Sizing is documented in the UCExpert Implementation Guide Recommendation is for customer to leverage Linux-based ISO image, but can build from scratch Servers are based on small or large, determined by number of phones per UC system Identify how many UC systems and phones to determine small vs large server 2. Identify how many total phones the UCExpert license will need to accommodate Phones are determined by all registered phones (Cisco and Avaya) and voice-enabled users (Microsoft) Can be mix of any/all 3 vendors; price is driven by licenses, no limit on number of UCExpert servers If they plan to grow, start with the number they expect in year 1 (they can always buy more later) Add 10%...customers often miscount and don t accommodate for growth Confirm Enterprise package (Standard licensing available but only as last ditch, cheaper option, it doesn t include integration support with NetIM, NetProfiler, or Portal) 3.
