3 Bona Pacific Filler MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Stir thoroughly before using. One to two cups of water may be added per gallon. FILLING: Apply Bona Pacific Filler sq. ft. per gallon before final sanding with the drum or belt machine. Thoroughly vacuum dust from cracks and holes before filling. Work the filler as deep as possible into cavities. To fill and level larger holes or deeper cracks, several applications may be required. It may be necessary to trowel-fill the entire floor, depending upon the extent of cracks between strip or parquet floors. Allow sufficient drying time: 30 minutes to 2 hours before final sanding. Higher humidity or cooler conditions will increase the drying time. Bona Pacific Filler is tintable with Universal Color tints. Do not exceed more than 1 ounce of tint per gallon of filler. Use the Bona Pacific Filler that is closest in color to the floor being finished. Maintenance CLEAN UP: Clean tools with water STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store at room temperature. 5 DriFast Stain RECOMMENDED APPLICATORS & TOOLS: Brush, cut-in pad, cloth, carpet disc MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Shake or stir well before using. Do not thin. STAINING: 1. After preparing surface, apply Bona DriFast Stain with brush, cut-in pad, cloth or carpet disc driven by a buffer in the direction of the grain at the coverage rate of square feet per gallon. 2. Allow 1-3 minutes for penetration. Remove excess by hand wiping or buffing with an absorbent, non-abrasive material. 3. Allow stain to dry thoroughly (minimum 2 hours for wood tones; 6 hours for white under ideal conditions of F (16-27 C), 35-75% relative humidity). High humidity and/or low temperature conditions will extend dry time, while increased ventilation and airflow will reduce dry time. Apply sealer or finish after the recommended dry time, but within 48 hours after application. 4. Apply any Bona finish system over thoroughly dried stain. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store at room temperature. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not store above 100 F (38 C). Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage and disposal. In case of spillage, absorb with inert material. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. DANGER: RAGS, STEEL WOOL OR WASTE SOAKED WITH BONA DRIFAST STAIN MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF IMPROPERLY DISCARDED. 7 Bona Novia THE BONA NOVIA FINISH SYSTEM: Apply a Bona sealer or Bona stain and 2 coats of Bona Novia. Follow label directions. Adding a third coat of Bona Novia is recommended in heavy-traffic commercial and residential areas. Visit for additional product information. RECOMMENDED APPLICATORS: Bona Roller, Bona Floor Coater (T-bar), Bona Cut-In Pad. NOTE: Use a clean applicator for sealer and a separate clean applicator for finish. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. DO NOT THIN. DO NOT ADD WATER. Insert supplied filter. FINISHING: 1. Pour a 6 wide line of Bona Novia across the direction of the flooring, cut-in away from wall. 2. Saturate the roller with finish. Make sure to roll over all areas where cut-in pad was used. 3. Set roller down at back side of puddle and pull the roller towards you. Then push back in the same path feathering past your start point. Do not apply pressure to the roller. Overlap your run by 25%. Rolling too fast will cause drips to fly off the roller. 4. BE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RECOMMENDED COVERAGE OF SQ. FT. PER GALLON. DO NOT SPREAD TOO THIN. 5. Allow the first coat to dry 2-3 hours. High humidity and/or low temperature conditions will extend the dry time (recommended conditions of F (18 C-27 C) 40-60% relative humidity). 6. For smoothest results, abrade with a Bona Conditioning Pad before applying final coat. Always vacuum and tack thoroughly with a slightly water dampened Bona Microfiber Mop or cloth after abrading. Allow final coat to dry at least 24 hours before use. INTERCOAT ABRASION: It is not necessary to abrade between Bona waterborne sealer and finish coats unless more than 48 hours has passed since the previous coat was applied. For smoothest results, abrade between all coats. When using solvent-based sealers, ALWAYS abrade before finish coats. Maintenance CURING: The curing process takes approximately 7 days, (70% cured after 1 day, 90% after 3 days). Do not replace area rugs until the floor has fully cured. The floor may be walked on after 24 hours, but remains susceptible to scuffing or marring until completely cured. Furniture may be placed onto floor after 72 hours (90% cured). Do not drag or slide furniture. Use only a dry Bona Microfiber Mop or cloth for cleaning during the first week. CLEAN-UP: Application tools should be cleaned with water and stored in an airtight container. FLOOR CARE: Put walk-off mats at all entrance doorways to keep out excessive dirt and grit. Sweep or vacuum daily and damp-wipe as needed with Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner. Use felt pads under furniture legs and appliances. STORAGE: Nonflammable - Bona Novia should be stored in a climate controlled environment. KEEP FROM FREEZING. Do not store above 100 F (38 C). 8 Bona AmberSeal Bona AmberSeal is a poly-toned, waterborne sanding sealer specially formulated for use with all Bona waterborne finishes. Bona AmberSeal combines the color and depth of oil-based products with the low VOC s and safety of waterborne sealers. It has excellent abradability, fast dry times and reduces the potential for sidebonding and tannin bleed. Bona AmberSeal is a nonflammable, virtually odorless sealer, and is GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING DO NOT THIN. DO NOT ADD WATER. Insert supplied filter. SEALING: 1. Pour a 4 wide line of sealer along the starting wall. Go with the grain of the wood. 2. Using a pre-dampened T-bar sleeve, draw the applicator forward with the grain of the wood, moving the sealer toward the opposite wall. To maintain a wet edge at all times, hold the applicator at a snowplow angle. 3. At the end of each run, turn the applicator towards you and pad out the applicator parallel to the wet edge. 4. Feather out all turns. Do not push too hard or too fast to avoid drips flying off the applicator. 5. BE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RECOMMENDED COVERAGE OF SQ. FT. PER GALLON. Uneven coverage can cause blotchiness, or color variance. Certain species may require a second coat to achieve desired appearance. 6. Allow each coat to dry 2-3 hours. High humidity and/or low temperature conditions will extend the dry time (recommended conditions of F (18 C-27 C) 40-60% relative humidity). 7. For smoothest results, abrade before applying finish coats. Always vacuum and tack thoroughly with a slightly water dampened Bona Microfiber Mop or cloth after abrading. 10 Bona DTS Bona DTS Deep Tone Sealer is a specially formulated waterborne sanding sealer for use with all Bona waterborne finishes. Bona DTS seals the wood, develops a vibrant look and deep, natural tone. It abrades easily and prevents the finish from penetrating into the wood surface. Start the next pass by overlapping the previous pass by 50%. 4. Hand-abrade any corners and sections missed by the buffer with 120 grit paper. 5. Using a window squeegee, squeegee Bona Remover material out from the wall. 6. Using the Bona PowerScrubber filled with Bona Rinse (refer to Bona Rinse directions for mixing instructions), remove and clean all Bona Remover from floor. 7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 until entire floor has been treated. 8.
