They are fixed through pre-punched holes using high tensile bolts ensuring the strongest possible connection. Totalspan knee and apex brackets wrap around the C section, giving extra strength along the full portal frame. 2 More Usable Internal Space Totalspan purlins and girts (parts of the frame where th e walls and roof are attached) fix in nto the sides of the portal frame. This allows the frame to sit flush with the cladding, for greater strength, more usable internal space and better visual appeal.
