2 Page 2 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 I LEGAL BASES AND GENERAL CONDITIONS 1 This European technical approval is issued by the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik in accordance with: Council Directive 89/106/EEC of 21 December 1988 on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions of Member States relating to construction products 1, modified by the Council Directive 93/68/EEC 2 and Regulation (EC) no. 1882/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council 3 ; Wiener Bauprodukte- und Akkreditierungsgesetz WBAG. 3 Page 3 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 II SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF THE EUROPEAN TECHNICAL APPROVAL 1 Definition of Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) and intended use The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) is installed in accordance with the ETA-holder s design and installation instructions, deposited at the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik. The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) comprises the following components, which are factory-produced by the ETA-holder or a supplier. The ETA-holder is ultimately responsible for the Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE). 1.1 Definition of the construction product System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) is a mixed penetration seal based on ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE), ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ- Mastic NE), ZZ-Wickel NE (ZZ-Wrap NE), ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE) and additional insulations. The nominal thickness of the penetration seal according to the dimensions of ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) has to be 144 mm or 200 mm (depending on the fire resistance classification; see Annex P of the ETA). The maximum opening size of the penetration seal has to comply with the dimensions as specified in the following table. The minimum perimeter length to seal area ratio of the penetration seal in rigid floors is according to clause of EN :2009 5,333 m/m², resp. 0, mm/mm² (for penetration seals with a nominal thickness of 144 mm) or 4,857 m/m², resp. 0, mm/mm² (for penetration seals with a nominal thickness of 200 mm) The installation of a blank penetration seal with the dimensions as specified in the following table is allowed.

5 Page 5 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) can be installed only in the types of separating elements as specified in the following table. Other parts or service support constructions shall not penetrate the penetration seal. For interpolation between pipe diameters and wall thicknesses see Annex J of the ETA. > Steel cable trays (perforated or non-perforated) > Steel ladders > Steel cable trays (perforated or non-perforated) and steel ladders with organic coatings shall at least be classified A2 according to EN Use category The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) is intended for internal use with humidity equal to or higher than 85 % RH, excluding temperatures below 0 C 7, without exposure to rain or UV, and can therefore according to ETAG 026-Part 2 clause be categorized as Type Z 1. Since the requirements for Type Z 1 are met, also the requirements for Type Z 2 are fulfilled. Although a penetration seal is intended for indoor applications only, the construction process may result in it being subjected to more exposed conditions for a period before the building envelope is closed. For this case provisions shall be made to protect temporarily exposed penetration seals according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions Working life The provisions made in this European technical approval are based on an assumed working life of the Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) of 10 years, provided the conditions laid down in clause 4 and 5 of the ETA relating to manufacturing, installation, use and repair are met. The indications given on the intended working life cannot be interpreted as a guarantee given by the producer or the Approval Body, but are to be regarded only as a means for selecting the appropriate product in relation to the expected economically reasonable working life of the works. The real working life might be, in normal use conditions, considerably longer without major degradation affecting the Essential Requirements. 7 These uses apply for internal humidity class 5 in accordance with EN ISO 13788

8 Page 8 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Characteristics of the product and methods of verification 2.1 General The identification tests and the assessment of the fitness for use according to the Essential Requirements were carried out in compliance with the ETA Guideline no. 026-Part 2 concerning Penetration Seals edition August 2011 (called ETAG 026-Part 2 in this ETA) and with the EOTA Technical Report 024 concerning Characterisation, Aspects of Durability and Factory Production Control for Reactive Materials, Components and Products edition November 2006, amended July 2009 (called TR 024 in this ETA). 9 Page 9 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Mechanical resistance and stability Not relevant. 2.3 Safety in case of fire Reaction to fire The components of Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) were assessed according to ETAG 026-Part 2 clause and classified according to EN :2007. Component ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) ZZ-Wickel NE (ZZ-Wrap NE) ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE) Class according to EN :2007 E E E E Resistance to fire The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) was tested according to ETAG 026-Part 2 clause 2.4.2, pren :N185: and EN :2009 in conjunction with EN :1999. Based upon the gained test results and the field of application specified within pren :N185: and EN :2009 the Mixed penetration seal System ZZ- Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) has been classified according to EN :2007+A1:2009. The individual fire resistance classes are listed in Annex P of the ETA. The maximum fire resistance class of the penetration seal in vertical or horizontal separating element depends on the fire resistance class of the penetrating elements. The fire resistance class of the penetration seal is reduced to the fire resistance class of the penetrating element with the lowest fire resistance classification General The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) can be used in apertures in walls (vertical separating element) and floors (horizontal separating element) according to clause of the ETA. The penetration of cables, conduits / tubes, metal pipes, plastic pipes and cable support constructions in accordance with clause of the ETA is allowed. The total cross section of the installations (including insulation and cable support constructions) must not be more than 60 % of the opening size of the penetration seal. For plastic conduits / tubes the pipe end configuration can be U/C, C/C. For steel conduits / tubes the pipe end configuration can be C/U, U/C, C/C. For plastic pipes pipe end configuration can be U/C, C/C. For metal pipes insulated with prefabricated pipe shells (e.g. Rockwool 800 ) according to clause 1.1 of the ETA pipe end configuration can be C/U, C/C.

10 Page 10 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 For metal pipes insulated with AF/Armaflex pipe end configuration can be C/U, C/C. For non-insulated metal pipes (outer diameter 18,0 mm) pipe end configuration can be C/U, C/C. Conduits / tubes, metal pipes and plastic pipes have to be installed perpendicular to the surface of the penetration seal. Metal pipes insulated with prefabricated pipe shells (e.g. Rockwool 800 ) according to clause 1.1 of the ETA can be installed in all angles between 90 and 45. Metal pipes with an outer diameter > 18 mm have to be insulated with prefabricated pipe shells (e.g. Rockwool 800 ) according to clause 1.1 of the ETA or AF/Armaflex. Metal pipes with an outer diameter 18 mm can be insulated with prefabricated pipe shells (e.g. Rockwool 800 ) according to clause 1.1 of the ETA or AF/Armaflex. Metal pipes insulated with prefabricated pipe shells (e.g. Rockwool 800 ) according to clause 1.1 of the ETA can be cladded with sheet steel with a thickness of 0,4 mm to 1,0 mm or plastic with a thickness of 0,35 mm to 1,0 mm. All types of cables, conduits / tubes, metal pipes and plastic pipes in flexible walls and rigid walls have to be supported on both side of the separating element by steel cable trays (perforated or non-perforated), steel ladders or alternative service support constructions (e.g. pipe hangers) made of metal with a decomposition point greater or equal than 945 C for EI 60, or 1006 C for EI 90, or 1049 C for EI 120 (e.g. stainless steel or galvanized steel) according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions. All types of cables, conduits / tubes, metal pipes and plastic pipes in rigid floors have to be supported at least on the top side of the separating element by steel cable trays (perforated or non-perforated), steel ladders or alternative service support constructions (e.g. pipe hangers) made of metal with a decomposition point greater or equal than 945 C for EI 60, or 1006 C for EI 90, or 1049 C for EI 120 (e.g. stainless steel or galvanized steel) according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions. Steel cable trays (perforated or non-perforated) or steel ladders can pass through or end at the surface of the penetration seal. Lidded cable trays / trunkings must not pass through the penetration seal. The first support (service support construction) for cables and conduits / tubes in flexible walls and rigid walls has to be at maximum 200 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal). The first support (service support construction) for cables and conduits / tubes in rigid floors has to be at maximum 250 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal). The first support (service support construction) for plastic pipes and metal pipes in flexible walls and rigid walls has to be at maximum 750 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal). The first support (service support construction) for plastic pipes and metal pipes in rigid floors has to be at maximum 1200 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal). All types of cables, conduits / tubes, metal pipes and plastic pipes have to be fixed according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions to the service support construction.

11 Page 11 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 Conduit bundles have to be fixed (bound together) on both sides of the penetration seal with at least one winding of e.g. steel wire (minimum diameter 1 mm) at maximum 200 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal). Subsequent addition (retrofitting) and removal of cables, conduits / tubes, pipes and cable support constructions according to the ETA holder s installation instructions is allowed. Retrofitting and removal without addition of cables, conduits / tubes, pipes and cable support constructions shall be done according to the ETA holder s installation instructions and the regulations of clause of the ETA Details for installation of Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) (see Annex A to P of the ETA) The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) will be formed by fitting ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions tightly in the opening of the separating element. Open joints ( 5 mm) and joints between the cables, conduits / pipes, cable support constructions and the penetration seal have to be filled according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions with ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) to a depth of minimum 20 mm. If the opening size is maximum 270 mm x 270 mm (width x height) and if there are no open joints or joints between the cables, conduits / pipes, cable support constructions and the penetration seal ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) needs not to be applied. It is allowed to close areas within the Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) alternatively to ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ- Foam block 200 NE) completely with ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE). In this case the maximum area which can be closed with ZZ- Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE) is 450 mm x 500 mm (width x height) or 0,225 m². For details see Annex O of the ETA. It is also allowed to fill open joints between ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) and the aperture with ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE). For details see Annex O of the ETA. Joints between ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) need not be filled with ZZ- Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) or ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE). Joints between ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE) and the aperture need not be filled with ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) or ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE). For tied cable bundles (see clause of the ETA) the space between the cables needs not be filled with ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) or ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE). In some cases (see Annex P of the ETA) for fire resistance class EI 90 cables and conduits / tubes have to be coated at a length of minimum 30 mm (measured from the surface of the penetration seal) with ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE) with a minimum thickness of 5 mm on both sides of the penetration seal according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions.

12 Page 12 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 In some cases (see Annex P of the ETA) for fire resistance class EI 90 (as an alternative for the above described coating with ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE)) and fire resistance class EI 120 ZZ-Wickel NE (ZZ-Wrap NE) has to be wrapped on both sides of the penetration seal according to the ETA-holder s installation instructions around the cables, conduits / tubes and cable support constructions (see Annex N of the ETA). The minimum working clearances (a1, a2, a3; for pipes only linear arrangement is allowed, no clusters) and the minimum clearance between the penetration seals are specified in Annex I of the ETA. The aperture was lined with 2 layers of 12,5 mm thick type F gypsum boards according to EN 520 (classification A2-s1,d0 according to EN ) with a width of 200 mm. The opening size was 355 mm x 550 mm (width x height), resp. 0,195 m². The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) was tested as blank penetration seal according to ETAG 026-Part 2 clause The components ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE), ZZ-Wickel NE (ZZ-Wrap NE) and ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE) were not included in these tests. The measurement accuracy was 0,01 m³/h. 14 Page 14 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Release of dangerous substances According to the manufacturer s declaration the products ZZ-Stein 200 NE (ZZ-Foam block 200 NE), ZZ-Masse NE (ZZ-Mastic NE), ZZ-Wickel NE (ZZ-Wrap NE) and ZZ-Brandschutzschaum 2K NE (ZZ-Fire protection foam 2K NE) do not contain dangerous substances detailed in Council Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) no 1272/2008 above the acceptable limits. A written declaration in this respect was submitted by the ETA-holder. In addition to the specific clauses relating to dangerous substances contained in this European technical approval, there may be other requirements applicable to the products falling within its scope (e.g. transposed European legislation and national laws, regulations and administrative provisions). In order to meet the provisions of the Construction Product Directive, these requirements need also to be complied with, when and where they apply. 2.5 Safety in use Mechanical resistance and stability No Performance Determined Resistance to impact / movement Adhesion No Performance Determined. The Mixed penetration seal System ZZ-Brandschutzstein 200 NE (System ZZ-Fire protection block 200 NE) is therefore appropriate for internal use with humidity equal to or higher than 85 % RH, excluding temperatures below 0 C 8, without exposure to rain or UV, and can according to ETAG 026-Part 2 clause be categorized as Type Z 1. Since the requirements for Type Z 1 are met, also the requirements for Type Z 2 are fulfilled. 8 These uses apply for internal humidity class 5 in accordance with EN ISO 13788

16 Page 16 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Evaluation of Conformity and CE Marking 3.1 Attestation of Conformity system According to the Decision 1999/454/EC 9, amended by Decision 2001/596/EC 10 of the European Commission, system 1 of the attestation of conformity applies. This system of attestation of conformity is to be described in the following: System 1: Certification of the conformity of the product by a Notified Certification Body on the basis of: a) Tasks of the manufacturer: 1) Factory Production Control 2) Further testing of samples taken at the factory in accordance with a prescribed control plan b) Tasks of the Notified Body: 3.2 Responsibilities 3) Initial type-testing of the product 4) Initial inspection of factory and of factory production control 5) Continuous surveillance, assessment and approval of factory production control Tasks of the manufacturer Factory production control The manufacturer shall exercise permanent internal control of production. All the elements, requirements and provisions adopted by the manufacturer shall be documented in a systematic manner in the form of written policies and procedures, including records of results performed. This production control system shall insure that the product is in conformity with this European technical approval. The manufacturer shall draw up and keep up-to-date documents defining the factory production control that applies. The documentation to be carried out by the manufacturer and the applicable procedures shall be appropriate to the product and manufacturing process. The factory production control shall ensure the conformity of the product to an appropriate level. This involves: a) the preparation of documented procedures and instructions relating to factory production control operations; b) the effective implementation of these procedures and instructions; c) the recording of these procedures and their results; d) the use of these results to correct any deviations, repair the effects of such deviations, treat any resulting instances of non-conformity and, if necessary, revise the factory production control to rectify the cause of non-conformity; e) a procedure to ensure that both the Approval Body and the Notified (Certification) Bodies are advised before any significant change to the product, its components or manufacturing process, is made; f) a procedure to ensure that personnel involved in the production processes and the quality control procedures are qualified and adequately trained to carry out their required tasks; g) that all testing and measuring equipment is maintained and up to date calibration records are documented; h) maintenance of records to ensure every batch produced is clearly labelled with the batch number, which allows traceability to its production to be identified Official Journal of the European Communities no. 17 Page 17 of the European technical approval ETA-10/0431 The manufacturer may only use initial/raw/constituent materials stated in the technical documentation of this European technical approval. For the components which the ETA-holder does not manufacture by himself, he shall make sure that factory production control carried out by the other manufacturers gives the guaranty of the components compliance with the European technical approval. The factory production control and the provisions taken by the ETA-holder for components not produced by himself shall be in accordance with the control plan 11 relating to this European technical approval, which is part of the technical documentation of this European technical approval. The control plan is laid down in the context of the factory production control system operated by the manufacturer and deposited at the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik. The results of factory production control shall be recorded and evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the control plan Other tasks of the manufacturer The manufacturer shall provide a technical data sheet and an installation instruction with the following minimum information: > Technical data sheet: a) Field of application: 1) Building elements for which the penetration seal is suitable, type and properties of the building elements like minimum thickness, density, and in case of lightweight constructions the construction requirements 2) Services which may pass through the penetration seal, type and properties of the services like material, diameter, thickness etc. in case of pipes including insulation materials; necessary/allowed supports/fixings (e.g. cable trays) 3) Limits in size, minimum thickness etc. of the penetration seal 4) Environmental conditions covered by this European technical approval b) Construction of the penetration seal including the necessary components and additional products (e.g. backfilling material) with clear indication whether they are generic or specific > Installation instruction: a) Steps to be followed b) Procedure in case of retrofitting c) Stipulations on maintenance, repair and replacement The manufacturer shall, on the basis of a contract, involve a body (bodies) which is (are) notified for the tasks referred to in clause 3.1 of the ETA in the field of approval product in order to undertake the actions laid down in clause 3.3 of the ETA. For this purpose, the control plan referred to in clause and of the ETA shall be handed over by the manufacturer to the Notified Body or Bodies involved. The manufacturer shall make a declaration of conformity, stating that the construction product is in conformity with the provisions of this European technical approval. 11 The control plan is a confidential part of the European technical approval and only handed over to the Notified Body or Bodies involved in the procedure of conformity.

18 Page 18 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Tasks of the Notified Bodies The Notified Body (Bodies) shall perform the: > initial type-testing of the product The results of the tests performed as part of the assessment for the European technical approval can be used unless there are changes in the production line or plant. In such cases, the necessary initial type testing has to be agreed between the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik and the Notified Bodies involved. > initial inspection of factory and of factory production control The Notified Body (Bodies) shall ascertain that, in accordance with the control plan, the factory (in particular the employees and the equipment) and the factory production control are suitable to ensure continuous and orderly manufacturing of the components according to the specifications mentioned in clause 2 of the ETA. > continuous surveillance, assessment and approval of factory production control The Notified Body (Bodies) shall visit the factory at least once a year for surveillance of this manufacturer having a FPC system complying with a quality management system covering the manufacturing of the approval product components. It has to be verified that the system of factory production control and the specified automated manufacturing process are maintained taking into account the control plan. These tasks shall be performed in accordance with the provisions laid down in the control plan of this European technical approval. The Notified Body (Bodies) shall retain the essential points of its (their) actions referred to above and state the results obtained and conclusions drawn in written report. The Notified Body involved by the manufacturer shall issue an EC certificate of conformity of the product stating the conformity with the provisions of this European technical approval. In cases where the provisions of the European technical approval and its control plan are no longer fulfilled, the Certification Body shall withdraw the certificate of conformity and inform the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik without delay. 3.3 CE marking The CE marking shall be affixed either on the product itself, on a label attached to it, on its packaging or on the commercial documents accompanying the components of the product. The letters CE shall be followed by the identification number of the Notified Body involved and be accompanied by the following additional information: > the name or identifying mark and address of the ETA-holder > the last two digits of the year in which the CE marking was affixed > the number of the EC certificate of conformity for the product > the number of the European technical approval > the number of the guideline for European technical approval (ETAG N 026 part 2) > the name and intended use of the product > see ETA-10/0431 for relevant characteristics

19 Page 19 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Assumptions under which the fitness of the product for the intended use was favourably assessed 4.1 General It is assumed that > damages to the penetration seal are repaired accordingly, > the installation of the penetration seal does not effect the stability of the adjacent building element even in case of fire, > the lintel or floor above the penetration seal is designed structurally and in terms of fire protection such that no additional mechanical load (other than its own weight) is imposed on the penetration seal, > the aperture lining within a flexible wall is supported by the studs (transoms and mullions) in such a way that the mechanical load imposed to the aperture lining by the penetration seal does not affect the stability of the aperture lining and the flexible wall, > the thermal movement in the pipe work will be accommodated in such way that it does not impose a load on the penetration seal, > the installations are fixed to the adjacent building element (not to the penetration seal) in accordance with the relevant regulations in such a way that, in case of fire, no additional mechanical load is imposed to the penetration seal, > the support of the installations is maintained for the required period of fire resistance and > pneumatic dispatch systems, compressed air systems, etc. are switched off by additional means in case of fire (for sealing off plastic pipes) This European technical approval does not address any risks associated with the emission of dangerous liquids or gases caused by failure of the pipe(s) in case of fire nor does it prove the prevention of the transmission of fire through heat transfer via the medium in the pipes This European technical approval does not verify the prevention of destruction of adjacent building elements with fire separating function or of the pipes themselves due to distortion forces caused by extreme temperatures. These risks shall be accounted for by taking appropriate measures when designing or installing the pipe work. The mounting or hanging of the pipes or the layout of the pipe work shall be implemented in such a way that the pipes and the fire resistant building elements shall remain functional within a period of time which corresponds to the fire resistance period required The risk of downward spread of fire caused by burning material which drips through a pipe to floors below, is not considered in this European technical approval (see EN :2007+A1:2009, clause 1) The durability assessment does not take account of the possible effect on the penetration seal of substances permeating through the pipe walls The assessment does not cover the avoidance of destruction of the penetration seal or of the adjacent building element(s) by forces caused by temperature changes in case of fire. This has to be considered when designing the piping system.

20 Page 20 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Manufacturing The European technical approval is issued for the product on the basis of agreed data/information, deposited with the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik, which identifies the product that has been assessed and judged. Changes to the product or production process, which could result in this deposited data/information being incorrect, should be notified to the Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik before the changes are introduced. The Österreichisches Institut für Bautechnik will decide whether or not such changes affect the European technical approval and consequently the validity of the CE marking on the basis of the European technical approval and if so whether further assessment or alterations to the European technical approval, shall be necessary. 4.3 Installation The product shall be installed and used as described in this European technical approval. Additional marking of the penetration seal shall be done in case of national requirements. 5 Indications to the manufacturers 5.1 Packaging, transport and storage The indications of the manufacturer regarding packaging, transport and storage have to be followed. In the accompanying document and/or on the packaging the manufacturer shall give information as to transport and storage. At least the following shall be indicated: > minimum and maximum storing temperature > maximum duration of storage The packaging of the approval product shall at least contain the following information: > trade name or trademark or other symbol identifying the product > the date of manufacture (month, year or coded information) The approval product shall be packaged for delivery in compliance with the usual delivery conditions and providing sufficient protection against the effects of normal handling.

21 Page 21 of the European technical approval ETA-10/ Use, maintenance and repair The fire resistance of the penetration seal shall not be negatively affected by future changes to buildings or building elements. The assessment of the fitness for use is based on the assumption that necessary maintenance and repair if required is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions during the assumed intended working life.
