A Quality Detailed Engineering is synonymous with accurate BOQ and correct individual specification. PSE s Quality Objectives are in line with these requirements. PSE s quality objective viz., Achieving zero error every time on first time right basis & 100% conformance to customer requirements, distinguishes PSE from rest of the service providers. Detailed Engineering is most complex set of engineeringg activities involving numerous engineering activities to be carried out in seriess as well as parallel. The activities are not only multi-disciplinary but are characterized by large inter-dependencies. The reason for this unique competency is attributed to PSE s skills in Concept Design, Basic Engineering Design Package (BEDP) and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Package FABRICATED EQUIPMENT ENGG All fabricated equipments are designed in accordance with International codes & standards. PV Elite software is used for designing of Pressure Vessels. (ASME Sec-VIII Div.-I & II, IS-2825), Agitators (EEUA, IS-9522, Fluid Mixing Technology), Heat Exchangers (TEMA), Tanks (API-620, API-650, IS-803), Boiler, Chimney etc.

4 ROTARY EQUIPMENT ENGG Pump Datasheets are automatically created using inhouse developed software packages. Accurate hydraulic analysis are carried out for working out pump heads, control valve pressure drop and restriction orifice requirement if any, as part of single hydraulic loop analysis. Control valve performance is one of the key components in success of any process plant. We simulate hydraulic circuits for various operating scenarios to work out accurate design of control valve as a part of hydraulic analysis and pump head calculations Compressible and non compressible flow analysis is done for vapor and gas piping. PACKAGE EQUIPMENT ENGG Scope definition, performance requirements, vendor drawing and data requirements, making available required utilities are the key issues addressed for optimal capex and opex of package items

Attributed to operational competency, PSE possesses process & instrumentation group that together selects the best available instrumentation for ensuring accuracy and repeatability of measurement and hence the control thereof. The final control element, head calculations with respect to maximum, minimum and normal flow conditions are worked out as part of hydraulic simulation, thereby enabling control valve to operate at 45% to 75% of valve opening. This ensures smooth trouble free plant operations. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Plot plan and equipment layout for electrical equipments, proper distribution of normal and emergency power, offers techno - commercial benefit to customer. Backward designing of electrical system in order to achieve desired over pressure protection is possible at PSE due to joint working of process and electrical group.

7 SAFETY ENGINEERING Safety for PSE is like breathing for human being. PSE s design practices are integrated system for providing an inherently safer design which will avoid hazards instead of controlling them, particularly by reducing the amount of hazardous material and the number of hazardous operations in the plant. PSE s Safety Engineering encompasses hazard identification, detection of emergencies through F&G systems, isolation of inventories through ROV and ESDV, removal of power from electrical drives & consumers, over pressure protection & depressurization through PSV & BDV, active fire protection systems (such as Firewater, powder, foam, total flood systems), passive fire protection systems (such as fire-proofing, area & safe distance segregation & containment), hand held fire protection equipments and personal gears, emergency escape CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING Civil and structural activities are the one which start the first and ends last in the overall project schedule.
