3 Miami-Dade The EFD--MD and ECD--MD are engineered and tested to withstand extreme loads, debris impact, and cyclic fatigue failure associated with the severe weather effects of hurricanes (ECD--MD has Miami-Dade approval # and the EFD--MD has Miami-Dade approval # ). Constructed from 0-T extruded aluminum, both louver models offer a unique load-bearing design that accommodates installations of unlimited width without adding costly intermediate structural supports required by other products. The EFD- -MD has a single section assembly up to " wide by 1 high and the ECD--MD, specially designed for its winddriven rain and sight proof protection, has a single section assembly up to 0-1/ wide by 2-1/ high. Specially designed water-resistant seam covers further enhance performance and aesthetics of these industry leading products. 8 Combination/Operable EXD Combination louvers feature stationary front blades and operable rear blades to ensure proper weather protection when open as well as a consistent appearance in both the open and closed positions. Optional low leakage seals provide further environmental protection in the closed position. Operable blade louvers provide weather protection when open and positive shutoff when no airflow is required. These units incorporate center pivoted blades that can be controlled manually with a pull chain, hand quadrant or hand crank; or automatically with electric or pneumatic actuators. EBE- and EBI- incorporate backdraft damper blades for automatic shutoff when there is no airflow and can be used for either exhaust and intake applications. Improved metallic luster appearance is similar to clean mill finish extrusions. 21-R1 (Aluminum Association Code AA-C22A1) provides 0. mils (0.01) minimum surface depth treatment recommended for severely corrosive or abrasive atmosphere exposure. Clear lacquer over clear anodize available on request. HIGH PERFORMANCE FLUOROPOLYMER Maintenance free high performance fluoropolymer coating complies with AAMA 20 and provides truly excellent color retention, adhesion properties and weather resistance to chalking and fading. Standard year warranty with optional 20 year warranty is available. BAED ENAMEL Baked enamel combines color permanence, low maintenance and economy. The baked enamel provides a semigloss finish with improved economy. COLOR ANODIZE Electrolytically deposited coating on aluminum. The color anodize process specified in Aluminum Association Code AA- C22A electrolytically deposits inorganic color pigment finish to a 0. mils (0.01) minimum surface depth on sulfuric acid anodized aluminum extrusions. Treated aluminum is sealed to convert freshly formed aluminum oxide finish to a corrosion resistant, inert condition. Available only on aluminum; some slight shade variation may occur. Finishes enhance louver appearance by matching or contrasting with adjacent surfaces and extend weather resistance.
