2 WHAT IS UFOIL TM? Ufoil TM insulation is a range of British Board of Agrément approved insulation materials which are constructed using polyethylene bubble which has aluminium to either one face or two faces. There is also a choice of two types of bubble - single bubble or double: 2BD/A foil to both sides - with two layers of polyethylene bubble foil to both sides - with one layer of polyethylene bubble -1 foil to one side - with one layer of polyethylene bubble. Available in two specifications - Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame and Class O to Building Regulations. WHAT IS THE PRODUCT SPECIFICATION Ufoil TM insulation is a high performance insulation material that is manufactured from recognised high performance components. The bubble is manufactured from 90 grade polyethylene for the single bubble and from 180 grade polyethylene for the double bubble. The aluminium foil used in all instances is 12 microns and this has a protective NC coating applied to it which gives the product durability and resistance to corrosion. TECHNICAL REFERENCES & INVESTIGATIONS A full list of technical references and statement of compliance with Building regulations is published within the two British Board of Agrément Certificates issued to UFOIL M BDA range of insulation materials for use within cavity wall and dry-lining applications. FIXING ACCESSORIES WALL TIES A range of cavity wall ties have been developed for use with bubble/foil insulation. This range consists of two designs with special ends to pierce the insulation in place after fixing.
