2 LANDMARK LOCATION MAZE TOWER The Maze Tower is an iconic mixed use building perfectly positioned at the very heart of Dubai. Located on the city s main thoroughfare, Sheikh Zayed Road; it is just 15 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport and conveniently adjacent to the Emirates Towers metro station. The Al Rostamani Group, owner of the building was inspired to erect an iconic and unique structure on this important location, working closely on every aspect of the project. The Group enlisted both international as well as local talents to achieve its vision. Playing on the changing natural light and shadow of the day, the Maze Tower facade with its aesthetic complexity and physical depth render its interaction with light as both mysterious and alive. The building also forms the world s first known vertical Maze. The intricate lines of the balconies on the front and rear facades form real puzzles which were painstakingly created by the acclaimed maze designer Adrian Fisher. We always wanted the Maze to look like it was carved out of one massive piece of rock; with the constant play of light and shadow to render it alive. The moment you step inside the grand and tranquil lobby you are transported from the rush of city life to a refined design haven. Pure lines and a sleek monochrome colour palette create a surreal space: a seamless cube of a lobby where siberian white marble meets sheaths of glass walls that ensconce a stunning core feature; hand crafted from precious, shimmering golden pyrite TOUCH The natural stones used throughout the Maze Tower have been hand selected for their aesthetic and tactile appeal. Brazilian Verde Bahia is used throughout the exterior. The darker greenish hue of the building corner posts is Verde Bahia honed with water jet Flamed Verda Bahia Siberian White Marble Golden Pyrite Pietra Lavica Silver Rock Granite Lime Stone grooved finish Lime Stone polished finish Black Slate Sliver Rock Granite created using a water jet treatment which creates an even matt surface. The lighter hue used to emphasize the maze is created using a flame technique that roughens the surface and creates a lighter, more reflective surface. These natural stones provide organic warmth that steel and glass cannot.
